I have been able to get it to connect (car sees phone and vice versa) but am stuck with the car saying something like "please finalize the setup for AA on your phone to continue"....
Nope didn't work. The car didn't even recognize itI have been able to get it to connect (car sees phone and vice versa) but am stuck with the car saying something like "please finalize the setup for AA on your phone to continue"....
Here is the thread I followed, as well as some of my comments back to the person who got it to work.
Curious if this works for you.
This is how you can use Android Auto with microG and connect your phone with your car. Prerequisites: Android 10+ Newest microG core (https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/releases) A custom recovery to flash a zip file Let's begin: For Android...forum.xda-developers.com
Ok, after looking into this with the thread owner, it looks like the issue is that the Nikgapps file, which contains the additional files for android auto to work, is not flashing due to the /system partition having no space. It installs to the /system partition and lineage recovery is giving errors installing due to /system having no space.
It's normal behavior since hardware is the same on different models but there is just one LOS build. If you want it back just flash stock ROM.
No Pro Mode in camera app since you're going to use the stock app or even in GCam. The in display fingerprint sensor in LineageOS or any custom ROM is going to be hit or miss. I have to scan my fingerprint a few times to register. It also takes longer to scan your prints compared to stock OS.
I haven't had any issues with fingerprint. Do you have replaced screen? No Pro Mode in camera app since you're going to use the stock app or even in GCam. In my experience the glass protector will affect performance in a big way.
I might remember incorrectly but TWRP for 8pro in android 11 isn't ready/working.So i finally got lineageOS installed and im loving it, BLAZING FAST HOLY ****, but now i gotta tend to my data and im having trouble doing it, i want to root again as well so i can use xposed modules but that can wait, my question is, before i took the plunge i did a full backup with twrp, now i want to restore but i'm having trouble getting twrp to work again, when i try fastboot boot "insert twrp image here" i get a qualcomm crash dump error screen.
its worth noting that when i did the switch i was actually on android 10 still when i should have been on 11, i had similar errors but did it again and this time was fine so i just continued setting up the phone, no qualcomm errors again untill i tried to boot twrp. What am i missing here?
face unlock a no go on this rom.I haven't had to flash a rom in a while, but I think it's about time to flash this. I was going to buy a Pixel 6 Pro, but there's too many trade-offs (like no face unlock), and I don't feel like the OP9 is enough of an upgrade over this... but I want something new, so hopefully a new rom will help for a while.
What is your-- LineageOS version: LineageOS Download url: Gapps version: Did you-- wipe: restore with titanium backup: reboot after having the issue: Are you using-- a task killer: a non-stock kernel: other modifications: Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:
Dear sir, please take a look at the attached image.I am sorry that you feel I am not giving you enough info to help me and might be following the wrong device model? I can assure you I am. 5. In the instructions wiki it says to flash recovery-recovery.img to your phone before proceeding and that is what I am trying to do. If you don't want to help me this is fine but please give me the exact cmd to get recovery on my device for the 8 pro though I am pretty sure I am already. Thx, Kevin
