Nope. FP isn't as reliable as on stock ROM. I switched over to AICP - no problem there.Great rom with no major issues. Too bad the fingerprint sensor does not work properly. Sometimes it's fine but sometimes it doesn't work at all. After a reboot everything is ok.
Am I the only one with this problem?
I was able to flash, but I used MindTheGapps, not OpenGApps:Hey, anyone sucessfully flash gapps?
After i install the system in recovery, i click adb sideload again withouth reboot, and then sideload the gapps nano, but it came to an error code 70 which says i didn't has enough storage for system partital.
And i tried the pico one too but everything didn't change.
Is there anyone flashed gapps?
I used BiTGApps and works fine, thanksI was able to flash, but I used MindTheGapps, not OpenGApps:

It's normal. Happened to me too on my IN2025.Purchased a Oneplus 8 Pro model IN2025 (US variant). After installing Lineage the phone now shows model IN2023 (EU variant) under Settings/About Phone. Is this expected? Trying to figure out if I got scammed when I purchased the phone and if it will have access to the US frequency bands which are not supported on the EU variant.
Location is working fine for me.The most stable ROM i have ever used. But Location not working. So, rolling back to OSS. Location is like a human trying to stay alive without heart...
AFAIK, the lineage OS builds are only for the EU variant, as each variant has their own firmware for a reason, which likely has to do with the radios. LOS installed on the international [US] variant had issues with the radios and Verizon - I asked the thread OP, who's also the LOS maintainer, about this months ago with no response, as the firmware prevented a tower connection to VZW's network.Purchased a Oneplus 8 Pro model IN2025 (US variant). MindTheGapps is the same as OpenGapps in terms of privacy or to put it the correct way - lack of privacy. MindtheGapps is similar to Pico, i.e., the bare minimum functionality. How is MindTheGapps when it comes to data collection and privacy (and security)?
From what I've gathered, OpenGapps is basically a clone of Google's apps and sends about everything gapps would on stock Android. MicroG kind of spoofs or emulates the libraries that apps look for to enable notifications or to allow some apps to install which wouldn't otherwise, but doesn't send info to Google.
But I can't find anything on MindTheGapps. Does it send information to Google? Is it compatible to Gapps's data collection on stock Android?
Thanks for the info!MindTheGapps is the same as OpenGapps in terms of privacy or to put it the correct way - lack of privacy. MindtheGapps is similar to Pico, i.e., the bare minimum functionality.
I use google backup for photos, messages, contacts and per app backup solutions (like whatsapp) for some apps. Most apps are cloud based today, but for those which aren't im not sure since I never encountered it.Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked before, my search abilities are not providing me a concluding answer to the following question, so I hope someone here can help me out.
I'm about to take the plunge towards LineageOS, coming from a stock ROM. The only thing that is holding me back is the certainty that there is a way to backup all my apps (preferably with configuration), text messages and so forth, which I can easily restore after wiping everything and installing LineageOS.
Does any of you smart people had a successful journey on this?
Thanks a lot!
Thanks @cyriljohn01. The reason I want to install LineageOS is to get away from Google (as much as possible), so this wouldn't be my preferred solutionI use google backup for photos, messages, contacts and per app backup solutions (like whatsapp) for some apps. The only way to get away from Google is to de-google your phone. That means no gapps, play store, or any google apps. Thanks @cyriljohn01. The reason I want to install LineageOS is to get away from Google (as much as possible), so this wouldn't be my preferred solution.

Dear sir, please take a look at the attached image.I am sorry that you feel I am not giving you enough info to help me and might be following the wrong device model? I can assure you I am. 5. In the instructions wiki it says to flash recovery-recovery.img to your phone before proceeding and that is what I am trying to do. If you don't want to help me this is fine but please give me the exact cmd to get recovery on my device for the 8 pro though I am pretty sure I am already. Thx, Kevin
