Do you use gorilla glass? I removed mine and improved FP performance drasticallyGreat rom with no major issues. Too bad the fingerprint sensor does not work properly. Sometimes it's fine but sometimes it doesn't work at all. After a reboot everything is ok.
Am I the only one with this problem?
I think it is not release yet.Is there a thread for LineageOS 19.1 for OP8Pro somewhere? I can't find it.
Would prefer if you didn't post your own builds in my thread.
Replying to my own post.I installed this ROM on my OP8Pro yesterday and I have run into some issues. Posting them here to see if someone here has ideas. I posted on IRC channel as per "Get Assistance" from the device page but not much help there.
Is anybody else seeing any of these issues?
- Change from 5G to 4G to reduce battery drain. The battery is dying much quicker than OOS 11. In OOS, I had moved to 4G instead of 5G because I found that speeds were similar where I live. I can't find preferred network type setting in this ROM's Settings. I am using Google Fi. Anyone else on Fi here?
- Auto-brightness is too bright. Its all the way close to 90% of the bar. In OOS, it usually stayed close to 40% mark.
- 2-3 times since yesterday, my phone's screen has gone completely off. Nothing I do can bring it back. It does not even power off with a long press of the power button. Couple of times it recovered itself and the display turned on. One time, it did not come back on for several minutes, I called from my wife's phone, the screen turned ON like nothing had happened. This is the nastiest bug I have seen. Can't imagine getting stuck like that somewhere where I need to make a call.
- On the wireless dock in landscape mode, the clock used be with bigger text and in landscape mode in OOS 11. But with LOS18.1, it does not go into landscape mode and stays tiny and in portrait mode, making me turn my head to see the time.
This would be fine if somehow I could increase the font size of lock screen text to be much larger (fit the whole width of the phone at least, not a small square in the center).
Did you recieve any updates on this. this is keeping me from installing this rom since i love that feature.Hi there, I hope someone can help me. I searched in the thread but I haven't found any answer. I am trying to setup an alarm when the device is powered off but it simply doesn't work. This feature was available with the stock OOD so I was wondering if I am making something wrong. Are you able to use the alarm when device is switched off?
Thanks!
The QPST method also works on any custom rom and android version (at least for me). Root -> setprob sys.usb... (instead of EngineerMode) -> i use the xperia 1 q driver -> qpst -> edit carrier_policy.xmlSo I posted about it on Reddit a few weeks ago but haven't gotten a solution yet so I thought I'd post here about it.
I have 5G service but when I was on stock OOS I had to use QPST Tool on Android 11 and the Samsung Band app on Android 12 to get it working, otherwise it'd only work on 4G, and switching to this means neither of those options work. How would I fix my 5G service on LOS?
Ah. I could give that a try. The better question then, is there a way with root to make this change permanent? I recall that removing the SIM card or applying a system update undoes the changes to that XML file. The QPST method also works on any custom rom and android version (at least for me). I am currently on A12 crdroid and it works.

Dear sir, please take a look at the attached image.I am sorry that you feel I am not giving you enough info to help me and might be following the wrong device model? I can assure you I am. 5. In the instructions wiki it says to flash recovery-recovery.img to your phone before proceeding and that is what I am trying to do. If you don't want to help me this is fine but please give me the exact cmd to get recovery on my device for the 8 pro though I am pretty sure I am already. Thx, Kevin
