I'm actually using the domination rom, but the messenger is still the same. If anyone knows of a way to make the enter key not send messages, that would be great :cyclops:.

Also worth mentioning is that (and I think this is a problem inherent with Android itself) if you have data turned off, (in addition to not being able to send them) MMSes sent during that time cannot be received. Ever. The only "solution" is to let all your contacts know that they need to send you a normal text message (SMS) first to let them give you a heads-up so that you can turn on your data to receive the message.

Just wanted to say thanks for this. It seems to help a lot, but it's still not 100%. I am actually kicking myself for having the problem of "lost" MMS messages for years... where you'd get a notification of an MMS briefly, but then it would go off into the ether. (I even went so far as to look at mmssms.db and found the messages were there, but some data in the fields was erroneous.)

Why am I kicking myself? I just realized if I turned off auto-download MMS, then I would ALWAYS get the notification an MMS was pending to be downloaded, and even if tapping download failed, the message wouldn't disappear. I could keep tapping download until it worked, or I could open GoSms and download it from there. No more lost MMS!

But with that, can you receive messages if your data is turned off?

I had it working on my first cm10.2 build but it didn't boot because I changed the way it charges. This time its going to boot :D

Becasue some bootanimations arent so optimized or animated and the I think the framebuffer cant handle optimized ones. Anyway before flashing always format data and format system because /tmp/backup restore script will restore gapps which is not good because your not staying on the same rom and you always want a clean phone when changing roms. If your looking for format system in cwm its under mounts and storage in twrp its under wipe

    I don't think this rom needs gapps, just install gmail or whatever from the market. someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Upstream Issues from CM (Bluetooth)

    Issues v20.0.0 :
    1) Keyboard swipe typing not working (Fixed in 130307 effsi)
    2) Possible reboot when sliding out hard keyboard (could be kernel specific or rom specific needs more feedback)

    Issues v22.0.1 :
    1) Nexus modem needs phone.apk swap

    A little info about my 130317 PacK build : gapps are not included. please let me know of any issues ONLY from clean installs. restore data at your own risk. read the changelog for further details. I am barely getting to test run this myself so I got to see what I run in to errorwise too. kernel is stock based so no voodoo or optimizations outside of basic gov+iosched changes. For nexus modem users use the UZS + didhiy's kernel to change this Epic modem rom (signified by the Em in the file name) to a Nexus modem rom (Nm).

    got slim rom past the error
    me and a atom 422 dev been talking it up all day
    got vanir aosp to start building and slim rom
    hmmm... i learned lots today
    also was told i have the option to enroll in college part time in the 11th grade plus its my last year of math
    what else could make my day :D
