You're right...I was sure I updated platform-tools last time...:ROFLMAO:😒
Now trying with fastboot version 31.0.0-7110759 it boots as expected.
Thanks for that hint.

That's encouraging. At the time I flashed, latest platform tools were r30.0.5 (Linux); there's no r31.0 out for that OS yet.

[update] No r31.0 at official SDK site, however XDA does have it for Linux!

Maybe the OP can update link to the version that works so this doesn't happen to others ;)

Will report back later after trying it again with new tools

r30 should have worked too...I think?

You know you need to do `./` when attempting to execute a file from $PWD? Otherwise it'll attempt to find the executable in $PATH which may as well happen to be from old distro pkg...

Where is that in the instructions? I don't see it

You could try to run fastboot --version and ./fastboot --version in your platform-tools directory and compare the output.

Um, I am probably an idiot, but I have the magisk hide props module installed. I cannot find any option to set fingerprint though! It only has a toggle on/off switch! What am I missing?
You need a terminal emulator app or use adb shell from pc. Enter su in the shell terminal and then props. There youll get all the config options.

Just got my Oneplus 8t (KB2005), did a fresh install of lineage-18.1-20210224. A every things been perfect aside from few things I've noticed,

- I cant authenticate against WPA2 Enterprise wifi networks (PEAP+MSCHAPv2). Standard WPA2 passphrase networks work fine. (could be related to this, though I can still see the "Do not validate certs" section )
- The fingerprint reader doesn't work
- My Total Wireless (Verizion MVNO) sim goes undetected in LOS. It's detected in OOS. Switching to a GSM sim (Cricket) in LOS seems to work fine.

I've confirmed these items to work in OOS. I was wondering if anyone else has come across issues like this? should I be flashing any specific modem, vendor or firmware's prior to my LOS install? I will try to gather some logcats later on today.

I'm having the same issue with my Verizon sim. Works fine on OOS but once I flashed to LOS the phone could no longer use the VZW sim which would be fine if it were just data but the VZW sim is my work number so after spending the better half of the day trying to get it to work i flashed back to OOS which again is working fine. Anyone else having these issues with Verizon?

Updated to lineage-18.1-20210304, My total wireless sim still goes undetected. Getting error "No Sim Card - Verizon Wireless" in notification bar when the sims in use. I attached a logcat of the phone booting.

As for the other issues, Fingerprint reader works, guessing my fingers were grimy or something when I initially went to set it up. Radius WiFi thing was a non-issue, it seems you need to import the radius servers CA on android 11 in general and this was intended by design by google and never merged into OOS, but was merged into LOS.

Thanks Luk1337 for all the work you put into this rom. Its rock solid and my daily driver. I will be making a paypal donation.

You're the first person who ever posted verizon logs without being asked to (wow!). Anyway, it's broken on all OnePlus devices I happen to maintain on 18.1.
There might be some CAF patch that happens to fix it but it's kinda not fun to track it down when I have no means of testing it locally.

Understandable. I'd be willing to be a tester for fix builds if that's even possible. Otherwise i'm fine with staying with Cricket. Thanks again!

Oh I know. Was just checking to see if it was installed in the ROM by default. Some LOS roms have them installed. I'm going to assume that they aren't and if I want to flash I can.

    Appreciate the help
Official builds never ship with gapps.

So if I use the official instructions I keep getting an error. It won't install via that method.

    - I've tried updating the recovery.
    - I did a factory reset, format data.
    - I ran the copy partition script listed, and it ran successfully.

When trying to sideload the zip it says:

    Step 1/2
Error appying update 7 (ErrorCode : : kInstallDeviceOpenError)
    E:Error in /sideload/package.zip (status 1)

It goes no further. When I reboot, I still have the previous unofficial build.

I have the same issue so I looked at the recovery log and it looks like there's something being miscalculated during the partition setup, causing the error 7:

it is. However, let me know if you get it to install, using their instructions.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions :
    Downloads :
    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

    Code:
    What is your--
    LineageOS version:
    LineageOS Download url:
    Gapps version:

    Did you--
    wipe:
    restore with titanium backup:
    reboot after having the issue:

    Are you using--
    a task killer:
    a non-stock kernel:
    other modifications:

Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:
    5
How do you do backups? What would be a good way to keep backups if I wanted to flash this ROM on a semi daily basis? I noticed after flashing the ROM it asks if I want to restore from a backup.

Another observation as I flashed the GMS version last night is there was no gallery app. Maybe this is normal.

I would suggest Swift Backup. Was a titanium user, but I find Swift Backup to be better performing on Android 11.

Yaay. The thread is back. :D
    3
One more question. Is it normal for the device I'd to change from kb2007 to kb2003?
Yes, adding model detection is a waste of time so it'll always show KB2003.
