Nikgapps stock 12.0, its half walking, or rather three quarters!
Play Store no us, fortunately there is aurora store.

the development of these versions do not from the official maintainer, I'm afraid they are unstable,

but should work.

Well, those were exciting few moments...
I got an update notification this morning from the Updater. Rather than downloading on my 8T, I downloaded to my laptop, verified the MD5, created a Magisk 24.3 boot image, and followed the normal update instructions (ROM, reboot recovery, NikGapps Core, bootloader, Magisk boot image)... and the 8T rebooted to recovery. I told it to reboot system and it told me that the installation had failed, and would I like to reboot at my own risk? Oh yeah, I definitely would like to...
And it rebooted fine. Initial impression is that it all looks ok.
Just a heads-up in case anyone else hits this mysterious "failure".

@firebird11 - thanks for this update. I hope I haven't been indiscreet by announcing the update - I suspect that the Updater will have made it public anyway.

I cant confirm this.
I had absolutly no problems.
Update rom, nikgapps, magisk and reboot no issues.
What do you mean with "created a Magisk 24.3 boot image"?

Are there any major changes?
I can't really make sense of the changelog.
I see a lot of changes under the hood,
but are there any changes for the ui settings?

I mean that before I started the upgrade I extracted the boot image via Payload-extractor, copied it to my existing crDroid 8.4, used Magisk 24.3 stable app to create a new 8.5 boot image, copied it back to my laptop, then performed the ADB upgrade, finishing with flashing the Magisk boot image.
I haven't noticed any particular UI changes.

I flashed ROM, Gapps and magical 24.2 and update this after reboot.
No problems.
