Hi all, I have a problem with the audio when connected to the bluetooth of the car.
Spotify works fine and YouTube too, but WhatsApp voice notes and Istagram stories are muted.
With nothing ear stick i don't have any issue, also on stock oos all was fine. Any ideas for that? Thank in advance :)

Hi!
I have a k2000 model (Chinese version, with Hydrogen OS updated for February 2022, old version released before 2021 with LDDX4), I used the official LineageOS guides for installation.
After
1) fastboot oem unlock (ok!)
2) fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img (ok!)
3) fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img (ok!)
and installation
4) fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (ok! lineageOS official recovery for this)

following the instructions reboot in NEW recovery, I got Qualcomm CrashDump Mode.

Now only fastboot work (fastboot devices detects the device, but adb sideload do not work... I used debugging rights via "USB debugging").

There were no errors, I checked the checksums (sha256) of the files before flashing. Why did it happen so?!? And what should I do now?

Please help solve the problem (Now I don't trust the official installation instructions).

I don't know what the solution is for the Chinese model but the MSM tool should get you back to stock and a functional phone

Instructions clearly state: "WARNING: Before following these instructions please ensure that the device is currently using Android 13 firmware."
I somehow doubt that you were running Android 13 HOS at the time you started following instructions...

Few months ago I posted that with LOS20 I don't have a working ambient light sensor. After that I also noticed that the proximity sensor did not work. Now I noticed that not even GPS is working with Sensor Test app. Also some app notifications (Pushover in my case and I use it a lot) are working only sometimes.

I am wondering if OP built the phone to different markets with such a difference in sensors that many features are just plain broken with LOS20 for good. Navigation works with data instead of GPS, backlight can be adjusted with Velis (but it needs to use camera as an ambient light sensor) and the proximity sensor is only a pain during phone calls. None of these issues are a dealbreaker by themselves but all together the phone just feels clunky to use.

I absolutely hate OOS, but I am really starting to think that the stock OS, for me, is more usable than this. Unless anyone has a fix in mind or other OS to recommend.

Am I the only one running on these issues?

Can anyone confirm or debunk these claims? Is gps and proximity sensor working?

Thinking about making the jump finally this weekend, but want to make sure it won't be a downgrade compared to my 18.1 build

but I had to update the recovery to install android 13? How to do it differently (there is no other instruction)?!? Do you think I should try to flash another recovery? Did I understand you correctly?

The guide expects that you're on stock Android 13 prior to doing anything.
It's clear. Explain if you know what I did with this command
fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
can this be fixed somehow (will it be a problem to restore to an old version with factory settings)?

MSM tool will reset everything to stock
I just tried to flash it with MSM tools, it didn't work. My device is detected in a fastboot on a PC, BUT MSM tools do not see the connected device. Perhaps because LineageOS recovery has been flashed and 2 partitions. I tried using the command Fastboot boot recovery.img to temporarily load another recovery other than LineageOS, tried the official TWRP (all version), crDroid and non-official orangefox... nothing helps. The device does not see in MSM tools. Is there any option to install recovery for example from 11 android from LineageOS (somewhere I can find a LineageOS recovery for 11 android)?

I'm sorry, this is my first oneplus device, before that I flashed more than a dozen devices from Xiaomi and never had problems installing TWRP. I could install the latest recovery on any device and flash everything I need through it.

Then you have the wrong device's MSM tool or your drivers are not installed on your computer.

You need the specific MSM tool for your model.

I'm not 100% sure, definitely double check before using, but this looks like a likely candidate for your model:

I've used LOS 19.1/20.0 on my KB2005 and so far 20.0 is very stable, far more stable than 19.1 in my experience.

The only persistent issue I can corroborate is that the stock auto-brightness feels like something out of the early 2000's, and I am using Velis to fix that issue as there appears to be no interest in correcting it.(I tested it each release for a while but gave up a while ago and haven't tried it since early 20.0 builds so YMMV) That said, I would actually argue that Velis is even far better than the stock adaptive brightness on OOS too, but I was never inclined to change it on OOS because it was good enough. Beyond that, I update once a week and have no critical issues.

Fantastic! This is exactly the feedback I was looking for.

Revisão do Código Gerrit.

Cell phone loses operator signal, is blocked and starts to heat battery does not turn off.

Before putting it in his pocket, he ran out of internet signal on both operators. So I went to get him and he was dead.

I had the maps open so I minimized it and put it in my pocket. Then I went to pick it up again to look at the cell phone, there was no signal.
I didn't put anything to charge, I pressed the button out of nowhere, I saw that it was super hot.

I let it cool overnight and tried to turn it on, then the battery charging icon appeared.

Hello,
I just updated to the most recent build and recognized that the "swipe-over-status-bar-to-adjust-brightness"-feature is gone. Is this known?
Thanks in advance!

Did anyone lose the ability to add and remove words from the Gboard dictionary (and/or personal dictionary via Gboard)? It's so weird, when I long press a suggested word, the option to delete the word by dragging up doesn't even appear anymore

So when I go to the LineageOS wiki it says I need to be on Android 13 firmware. When I go to the firmware update guide it tells me its not for carrier branded variants. I'm on T-Mobile KB2007 how do I upgrade to the new Android 13 firmware so I can proceed with LineageOS 20???

No custom rom is secure without bootloader locked. With an unlocked bootloader, maybe root any smartphone is at risk from a user possible mistakes and from someone stealing your phone and get access to your data easily. Also I really believe you have to trust the developer of the rom.

Not even slightly to accurate. Every device has mandatory encryption which means nobody can access your user data. Even on custom ROMs, this one included.

there are 3 exes of MsmDownloadTool V4.0 in the msm pack, what should be used on win 10?
    MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe
    MsmDownloadTool V4.0_factory.exe
MsmDownloadTool V4.0_Win7.exe -this one i guess is windows 7 obviously...

If you use the guide, and links here from XDA this question is answered actually in the OP post. They go to the same place in this case, but there are mirrors, and you have all the trouble shooting and such as well.

    This thread will be helpful.

To answer the question (taken from the post above:)

    Launch MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe.

Windows 7 users may use MsmDownloadTool V4.0_Win7.exe instead, but it hasn't been tested.

Hey, guuyss can anyone help me i guess i have messed up. after sticking with the stock for almost 2 years now i have decided to switch to lineage 20 latest build. have installed it with gapps. perfectly fine but one of my banking app was not working. so thought let's install magisk and use the 'Hide' but the feature is not appearing there i don't know why tho. so i thought let install the magisk app again using the twrp (earlier i was doing everything using the fastboot and lineage recovery mode -- the Apply ADB one). but when i try to flash the twrp i guess i messed up and it is not showing the old lineage one neither the new twrp so anyone can help?? please and yes i still cant use one of my banking app. help me there too.
No need to use magisk nor root. Just flash the ih8sn for kebab and you're good to go.
    Clean flash is a must.
    LineageOS

    ih8sn
    then reboot & enjoy.

Sorry to bother you, but I cannot pass YASNAC attestation due to a CTS error.
First I upgraded system firmware to F.63 and then I sideloaded the zip you shared.
Do you know what I could have made wrong?View attachment 5904141
Yes this occur once you are rooted.
ih8sn works only for no-root lineageos or other custom ROMs.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Where can i find the "latest Android 13 full stock ROM" for KB2003 as mentioned in the Instructions? On the Oneplus Site i only find a Android 11 ROM for download. I am on LOS 19.1 atm.

Does this rom have full support for dual SIM AKA enabling and disabling SIMs on the go. The previous version did not have that.

Also, does auto brightness work as expected on KB2005?

    Thanks in advance.
Adaptive-brightness definitely does not work as you'd expect, unless the LOS 19.1 behavior is what you'd expect/want.

If I compare the current behavior to either the stock software or other devices entirely with other and/or stock OS's, the LOS 20 behavior is extremely aggressive when it detects any source of light. It typically jumps to around 80% in many circumstances and rarely adjusts itself lower unless there is a massive drop in what the sensor detects. For the sake of argument, I've been keeping adaptive turned on and then manually adjusting the slider to try and help it "learn" but I've not seen anything that even resembles learned behavior.

Anyone know where to download just the firmware for Android 13 for 8T KB2003? Don't feel like downloading the full ROM (over 4GB). Thanks in advance.
    Hi,
    Take a look here,
