I haven't been using mine lately.
Actually it mostly sits on the side along with my Pixel C.
I honestly do not know why I prefer my Nexus 10.

It's been awhile, and for testing purposes, I decided to clean flash my flounder.
Flash stock firmware, wipe, erase (and/or format) everything.
Install LineageOS and OpenGapps..

I end up with Lineage's Setupwizard instead of Google's SetupWizard.
Everything else seems to be installed and working, only Google SetupWizard failed to replace/run.

To complicate matters, I originally tried with an UNOFFICAL OpenGapps build.
The OpenGapps build gave me an odd error about SetupWizard SDK version below 29.
Thought that was the reason but, I get the same results using the official builds, both newer and older.

Just curious if this is normal for this device or something that needs to be taken up with OpenGapps ?

Files used:
image-volantis-n9f27m
twrp-3.3.1-0-flounder.img
lineage-14.1-20200217-UNOFFICIAL-flounder.zip
open_gapps-arm64-7.1-stock-20200222-UNOFFICIAL.zip
open_gapps-arm64-7.1-stock-20200222.zip
open_gapps-arm64-7.1-stock-20200108.zip

Cheers. :cowboy:

Edit:
Just as I hit the post button, I remembered older cm/linage had issues when the cm/linage setupwizard was replaced. Will have to look into that again.
I had some problem installing the rom with GAPPs too.
At the end, the solution was to follow the next step:
-. Start TWRP
-. Wipe all data
-. Flash LineageOS Rom (Only the rom image)
-. Reboot into TWRP (Important, not start LineageOS yet)
-. Flash GAPPs according with your Android Version
-. Restart your device and it should work fine ;)

You're supposed to end up with lineage and google setupwizard. The first screen upon initial boot up is going to be lineage setupwizard. Then after the first couple steps in lineage setupwizard, it then switches to google setupwizard. That's how it has always worked in 14.1 roms.
i just did a couple clean installs (with varying steps) to test and all worked like it should.
boot into twrp, wiped system + data + cache, installed my newest lineage build, installed open_gapps-arm64-7.1-nano-20200222.zip, reboot to system. all good.

Thank you @Jc Miñarro and @razorloves

It was a dumb user observation on my part.

I just tried again when I got home from work.
Now I see where the Google SetupWizard takes over. I forgot how they mix together and the slight differences in the versions of Google SetupWizard.

ROM
Lineage Welcome, Language, Date&Time, Network, Location, Features, Protect Phone

ROM + OpenGapps
Lineage Welcome, Lineage Language, Google Welcome, Network, Date&Time, Name, Protect, Location, Anything Else, Lineage Features, Lineage Welcome

I'm sure I won the Idiot Of The Day award for this one.

Thanks again.

Cheers. :cowboy:

My problem is with the bluetooth connection to our car. It will work briefly, as is once. But the next time we try to pair, it doesn't work. In fact, the tablet acts like it doesn't even see the car is there. And the car doesn't see the tablet either. This never happened until the move to Lineage. Seems like rebooting the tablet makes things work again, temporarily. Anybody else seen something like this? Any ideas/suggestions for how to resolve?

Thanks!
I dug up this old post describing a issue i now have with this rom. Connecting to my bluetooth speaker is very erratic. Anyone can confirm? Any solutions?

I am seeing this too, have been since the beginning. First time after reboot connecting to Bluetooth headphones is taking ages, with no devices being listed. Going to airplane mode does the trick most of the time. After the initial connection reconnecting generally works well.

I got the original keyboard from google.
From time to time the keyboard was lost. So I had to the a new pairing, then it works again.
Still trying to find the algorithm when the Bluetooth decive gets lost...

hey @razorloves is there an ability to boost the charging speed? I am tired of the crippling charging speed. I was under the impression that it is kernel locked to 1.5amps. It takes hours and hours to charge, even on a 2A charger.

i don't mess with critical things like that. i leave it at what the software and hardware engineers of the device made it to be.

fair enough, i understand. I still wouldn't mind having a look and don't really mind if i break my device at this point.
Are you building rom/kernel inline still with cm-14.1 or do you need to do any specific things?
Are you comfortable in sharing your roomservice.xml?

my roomservice just has the source links that are listed at the end of the first post.
i just make a couple changes locally to disable forceencrypt in fstab.flounder and remove Snap in lineage.mk.

I've got a new to me Nexus 9 recently. Had two others in the past that got that stupid white line/screechy sound issue. The battery reconnection trick stopped working. The one I've got now is a clean Android 7.1 that I rooted and dropped TWRP on. Can I flash right to lineage or do I need to do any other updates first?

If this tablet had a bit more RAM it would fair far better these days. I find some apps just close during loading. It seems fine for what i need it to do mostly just hard to sit and browse around now i find.
