Thanks again to the LineageOS team for keeping us up to date.

Any other location for the ROM? I'm trying to download, and I'm getting one mirror from Canada, but it gets to about 50% download, then gradually speeds go down, and it eventually errors/fails on the download. Appreciate the work you've done, and would love to try it out. TIA

Looks like there's a problem with the Android Filehost servers. None of the other mirrors are available. I tried uploading here to XDA but got a file too large error.

Try these links, I uploaded to the Virginia #1 server.

Again thanks to all at Lineage who are back porting these updates.
If anyone's interested in what it takes to backport for Nougat here's how many people work to make this happen. https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_build/+/280669

Not a problem as I have three of these phones. I do compile the roms but they come from the official Lineage source. The thanks goes out to the Lineage team for maintaining LOS 14.1. Soon I'll upgrade one to Nougat bootloader so I can try the new 17.1.

New build up for those on Nougat bootloader.

Nov. 5, 2020 security patch

I dirty flashed this over Hashbang173's last build just wiping cache and dalvik. All seems to be working except I don't have a sim in this phone to test connectivity. I would make a backup in twrp just in case.

All thanks go out to Hashbang173 by keeping this on his github and Lineageos for maintaining Nougat. This is Hashbang173,s work I just built the rom with his repo.

of course. Just tell me how I make a logcat of boot.
I wish I knew. Let's figure it out. You need to get 17.1 flashed. It will boot and work but not recognize any SIM card. Then somehow you start the logcat and start the boot. Somebody maybe can help us. We should do this on the 17.1 forum. Are you registered on that forum? @chrmhoffmann has been begging for someone to capture a dual SIM logcat and test changes to fill out his ROM.

    Many thanks for this! I tried flashing my XT1572 way back in 2018 but couldn't find one for the Nougat BL. Gave up and passed on the phone to my mum.

    Stock OS was super glitchy so I came down this path again. I was apprehensive but am super happy to say it works as expected. :)

    Very smooth flashing process. Many, many thanks. :)

    How do I determine which bootloader I have?

    My build# is NPHS25.200-23-1 if that helps.

    An easy way is to boot your phone into the bootloader with the power and volume buttons, or by connecting your phone (need ADB enable in developer settings by tapping 7 times on build number) to a PC with a terminal running "adb reboot bootloader" (without quotes). If you have 52 in the version numbers, you have the Nougat version.

      @Wheels564 I flashed back to stock. Then I installed TWRP 3.3.1-0 and clean flashed this nougat ROM. It starts up into the Goggle login but hangs at Google Assistant and can't get past it. Thoughts?

      Addendum. I think my motherboard is borked.
      Did you try a clean flash without google to see if it boots properly? Sometimes you just get a bad build of gapps. Maybe try formatting each partition in TWRP instead of just wiping. If you flash stock again and everything works ok then I would have to think trying an older gapps.

      Edit: Just don't format EFS partition unless you have a backup.

      @Wheels564 I did a clean flash of 7.1 today using today's latest version of OpenGapps and it installed just fine without hanging at Google Assistant. It must have been a short lived regression or else a corrupted download before. Everything OK now. On another topic, this is the only LOS ROM for this phone that works on VoLTE and thus has not been been banned by Tmo (I think) and ATT (for sure) so I need this ROM for my ATT SIM. Verizon still works on LOS 18.1 but I don't know how long that will last.
      VOlte is why I'm sticking on 7.1 for now. However if you want you can try CRDroid I made for N bootloader. It's much more customizable and I'll be switching to it soon for my daily driver. It's pre rooted so you will have to use Lineage's root uninstaller zip then install magisk if you want to pass safety net.

      LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

      Code:
      #include <std_disclaimer.h>

      /*
       * Your warranty is now void.
       *
       * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
       * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
       * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
       * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
       * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
       *
       */

      LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

      All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

      Google apps addon:
      OpenGapps: http://opengapps.org/ (you'll want a zip for the ARM64 platform, Android version 7.1)
      HEADS UP: Be sure you flash the gapps package with your rom. If you boot your rom, then go back and try to flash gapps after the fact, you're gonna have a bad time.

      I have a test build here built with changes from the official Nougat update including the very recently released updated kernel source.

      You can see my device changes here on gerrit: https://review.lineageos.org/#/q/st...e_motorola_clark+branch:cm-14.1+topic:clark_n

      The kernel tree for this build is here: https://github.com/HashBang173/andr...tree/cc4f6f347b94996f7cfe47ce6cce795430d670e3

      Do not expect everything to work on this build, but please report any issues you have.

      Anyone know if anyone is planning on ,or is working on a Oreo/LOS15 version for the X Pure?

      Yes, I haven't had much time lately to work on it. I have it booting. You could probably find a somewhat-functioning build by scavenging my AndroidFileHost :p
