I did install the Quanta kernel some days ago and did not have a single BSOD since then. Maybe it's just luck.

Is miracast working? Didn't on earlier builds. Also DRM content like play movie was broken. Would be nice if someone can test.

sent from Nexus5

I read that yesterday and couldn't believe my eyes. I was so completely disgusted I decided that I am done with Lineage. I don't see a stable version for either of my phones for a long time. Maybe I will check back at a later date.
"Disgusted?" You think you deserve something? Why don't you learn to code and fix it yourself?

The primary volunteers who code LineageOS for the Mako, which is almost 5 year old hardware, are also unable to even access the device on a regular basis. Also, these are NIGHTLY DEVELOPMENT BUILDS. XDA really can be a cesspool of entitled kids sometimes. You should DEFINITELY go use another piece of code with your attitude, as you suggest.

Also, the primary kernel developer hasn't checked in in awhile, but if you want to e-mail him to ask him POLITELY if he could help, he just might. Ranting in an XDA thread is not a productive way to realize better code for your phone.

Hi !
Just to share my experience about Black Screen Of Death. I've had several BSOD when I used the easter egg Android Neko but if I don't use it I have no more BSOD...
So don't feed cats if you don't want BSOD :)

Almost Berlin :)
Guys, what EXACTLY do you mean when talking about BSOD?
I know it stands for black screen of death (not sure about the black though), my question is more when and how this happens.

The reason I ask: I run my old N4 with latest LOS and experienced some crashes when activating/deactivating Wifi.
Now is this also a BSOD?

Actually "B" is for "Black", even if in the begining it was "Blue" with Windows NT ;)
For me it happens when I want to switch on my phone : it does nothing and I have to do a long press on the power button to reboot it ! Before I turn it off all was normal... Something wrong happens between these two instants but what ? This is the big question...

This description is perfect and precise. This also exactly describes my experiences (before installing the SOD killer app from Toy Store).

Hehe, yeah, I remember the blue screen... ;)
Thanks for your explanation. So I don't think my problem is a BSOD too... As described I'm on latest official LOS and this didn't happen with the previous release.
Well, I'll look into this...

Please always write which version exactly you are mentioning to avoid confusion.
Yes, I am in 14.1-20170316 !
With the first versions (january and february) of LineageOS, I had BSOD only when I used the easter egg Neko, but now I have ones even if I don't use android Neko...
I have implemented a little kmsg monitor to try to catch the last kernel log before death... We'll see !

Hi guys! Does doze work for you? I'm on 14.1-20170316 and I never see doze voices in betterbatterystats other than doze interactive time (and deep sleep, active with screen off, screen on, etc.) unless I turn on battery save (or it turns on automatically); in that case I also see doze powersave time; in fact, my battery lasts a short time, and I have no Google Fit or wifi location automatic scanning.

So, the new info about BSOD. I am on the 09-03-17. I live between two homes. So, the one - 2 BSOD per two week. The other - 5 BSOD per two DAYS. I suppose the problem might be in wifi connection, cause nothing is not changed anymore.
