LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>

/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
 *
 */

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (GApps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

NOTICE
For LineageOS 14.1 it's required that stock Android 5.0 or later was running on your device!

One thing first. It doesn't help anyone if 5 people ask every 2 minutes for the dl link.

The build is only an experimental build. Please DO NOT flash over cm-13.0. A wipe is necessary!
I'd like to get some feedback from you guys on bugs and other failures. Recording videos with our stock camera app currently doesn't work.

Have fun :)

Titanium can read sd card because you grand root acces. Like on previous unofficial bulid, only root user can reed sd card :/ so no music, photo etc.

    To reduce the confusion below is a brief statement on how G3's development continues. But first, I hope y'all had a merry Christmas ;).

    I was a bit quieter during the holidays when the avalanches of debris broke over us. But don't worry, we have seen the situation coming a few weeks ago, so we started to think about the future of the project and plan the transition at an early stage. Of course it all came a little faster than we thought but we're well prepared. We've gathered backups from all the important things. Most services will soon be available again (Wiki, Gerrit, Jira, Crowdin).

    The only hackneyed situation is the nightly builds. The build and download servers cost a lot of money which we didn't have to worry about in the past. In the future we will probably turn away from nightly builds and build only once a week. Since the build and download servers are expected to still cost a lot of money, we are currently thinking on how to finance those things. In the next few days a blog post will appear, explaining how one can support LineageOS. At the moment, however, it is important to know that we currently have NO official donation account since some idiots try to grab donations in the name of LineageOS. Of course you can still support individual developers if you want.

    And last but not least, I can assure you that I will continue support for the G3 and basically all CM developers will also work on LineageOS again. In addition I hope Lineage Android will also be attractive to other developers since we really don't have to deal with Cyanogen Inc. anymore and we all agreed on a completely community oriented future.

    Let's make Lineage even better!

    Hi all :)

    even if there were no builds in the last few weeks, a considerable progress was achieved. CM14 is skipped and nightlies will start directly with CM14.1. So hello Android 7.1 :).

    Of course there's a new build for y'all: http://d855.finnq.de/CyanogenMod/. Video recording, NFC and Bluetooth works now. The storage access problems should also be fixed with an upstream fix for sdcardfs, however I'm not sure if the fix really works so please try it out. As I rewrote some selinux rules and there were some changes to the RIL, focus for testing are those two. Please report if you have issues with the RIL. For those people who use it as a daily driver please send me the output of "adb shell dmesg | fgrep audit" after using the device a bit.

    Have fun and thanks for your feedback

    Fixed builds are live.

    If you come from anything not LineageOS official, you have to flash the experimental build first. Otherwise you can just flash the nightly build as usual.
    Manual bumping isn't needed anymore.
    The updater doesn't work with the current TWRP build. I'll talk to some people to get a new build.

    Lineage OS link for downloads : http://www.lineageosrom[.]com/2017/01/download-lineage-os-lg-g3-d855.html
    Confused between unofficial and official releases, @finnq, could you point the right download site ?

    Official builds will start soon, we are still setting up our infrastructure. There was no single official build released yet. Sadly there are countless sites that are targeting your clicks of which some even claim to be official. cyanogenmods[.]org and lineageosrom[.]com are not related with former CyanogenMod or LineageOS in any way.

    As they arrive official builds will be available at https://download.lineageos.org/. Everything referenced on lineageos.org can be considered as official.
