The issues with the build server have just been fixed. Official build incoming :D
Build progress: https://jenkins.lineageos.org/job/android/10399/
EDIT: The build finished. :highfive: Now have to wait for it to upload to all the download mirrors.
EDIT#2: Ready for downloading :) https://download.lineageos.org/angler

Make sure you all follow the installation steps here https://lineageos.org/Changelog-16/
Note: For step #4, that's referring to the twrp, vendor, radio, & bootloader img's. They are linked in the first post.
Note#2: The 15.1 su addon for root is not available yet, so you'll have to use magisk if you want root.

FYI: This tweet doesn't apply to the angler build :good:

Flashed the migration zip and dirty-flashed over last unofficial. No crashes at all since boot. Great work on this :good:

Mine froze at the boot animation screen...

So, I started a fresh install. With the GApps for the unofficial version (BeansGappsMini-arm64-8.1-5X6P.zip), the initial start-up setup crashes. With the recommended GApps (MindTheGapps-8.1.0-arm64-20180223_195845.zip) the initial setup it's stuck at the "Checking for updates..." part, right after the WiFi connection.

I will retry and try to skip the initial setup. In the meantime, do you have any advice? Thanks in advance!

Finally the setup moved on and managed to boot it all the way! :good:

Hello and thank you for this really cool update! It looks very nice right out of the box, and I'm excited to personalize it more later on. However I encountered a bug relating to Audio. Specifically audio playback. I didn't see anyone talk about this on the past 2 pages (40 or 41) so I guess I'll start the discussion. While using the built-in Music Player, if I play a file (either mp3, or flac) and interact with anything that produces the touch feedback sound, the current song playing will very quickly fade out, then fade back in after the touch feedback sound has finished. I don't know a whole lot about android, or the framework of the nexus 6p but it seems like an issue with conflicting audio channels.

Some potentially useful info:
-The issue occurs only when playing from speakers. Headphone playback seems unaffected.
-The issue doesn't occur if touch sounds is unchecked from the settings menu.
-The issue occurs when using the built-in music player app and also Vanilla Music (f-droid). So it seems indiscriminate of app.
-I did a full wipe / clean install, with Magisk v16.0 added on during initial install.

Once again thank you for the free operating system.

MindTheGapps

I'm going to assume my Google-fu broken ( or I reeeaaallly lack the ability to read things on github ) but I cannot seem to find a package listing for MindTheGapps. I would be grateful if someone could post a list of the gapps that get installed.

Hey boss, been snooping on this ROM and the previous version (14.1) you developed. I love the work you have done on this and with each update it gets better and smoother. Official updates are great and I can't complain, just gonna try and figure installing Viper4Android, don't seem to have any problems with a custom kernel (ElementalX).

Keep up the good work, I hope to see more of it here on this forum.

I actually did both of those. So I looked harder at the links you provided and googled the crap out of everything. If I understand correctly this is the equivalent of the OpenGapps nano (pico?) package? Is velvet.apk actually google assistant or just the underlying framework? If not, since I want minimal Google junk on my phone is OpenGapps nano ( or pico, never remember wich one I install ) ok ( I know not recommended, don't post issues, etc )?

Sorry for the noob/dumbass questions but I haven't run a Lineage based rom since before CM went corporate. Want to minimize the headaches tomorrow.

Thanks for all of what you're doing. Each time i get bored from my Nexus 6P i flash lineageOS again and ger excited as if it is day one. So thanks.

Just a question, is it technically possible to bring in Treble support (since we already have /vendor partition)? If yes, are you planning to do so?
