I have the strangest issue, and I've googled lots of related terms but am finding nothing on it.

Every other time I unlock the phone, the button bar at the bottom of the screen is gone and the screen is unresponsive EXCEPT that I can pull down the statusbar and interact with notifications. Hit the power button, hit it again, boom phone is fine. Hit the power button, hit it again, no button bar and no touch except status bar, rinse, repeat.

It may be related to the fingerprint sensor? The fingerprint sensor doesn't seem to unlock the phone. I know the sensor works because I use it to get into Mint, BoA, etc. It also allows the fingerprint when configuring a new bluetooth device with smartlock. I can't tell if it is just an unlock issue, or a fingerprint issue.

Quick pulldown is off. Network traffic monitor is on, but the same thing happened with it off. All system icons are shown. Brightness slider is on but the same thing happened when I turned it off. This persists after a reboot. The fingerprint swipe gesture is on, but turning it off didn't matter.

I have no idea what to even search for to find related bugs, but I've found nothing so far. I can try to take a video later when I'm home and have my wife's phone.

Wi-Fi issue!

Can we install Magisk v16.0 instead of the su zips mentioned in post #1 ?
Thanks. Help clarify please.

---------- Post added at 07:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:35 PM ----------

I have done all the steps (vendor, radio, bootloader, TWRP all correct) and LineageOS boots fine. However, it cannot connect to my home WiFi network. The reason I went to Custom ROMS is because Google's OTA Oreo update, also had the same problem. So, whatever version of Android Oreo I have, I connect to WiFi, then it goes to a "connecting" state, then "Saved" then "Disabled"! Can someone help me troubleshoot this?! Thanks. If I go back to Android 7.1.2 , WiFi connects fine! This is bizarre.
I am using 802.11n with a 300Mbps max BW DLink router.

The error in LogCat is "system_process W/WifiConfigManager: Looking up network with invalid networkId -1"
I'm facing the same issue. However, a couple of router restart makes it connect again.

Build breakage is fixed :good: https://review.lineageos.org/211131
So the next scheduled build on Monday shouldn't have any issues.

And all repos have been updated with April security patches and changes.
So when you flash the next build you'll need to update your vendor img to the newest one in the April OPM3.171019.019 factory image.
I've already extracted it so you can have it ready to flash on monday, here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=261872
The bootloader and radio img's are the same as what was in last months factory image, so no need to flash them if you already have them.

Well it builds successfully now. For some reason it bootloops now after flashing; Doesn't get past the google screen. I did update my vendor partition and am using the latest blobs from the repo (everything was synced a couple of hours ago).

I went back to my previous build and no more boot loop so luckily it's not the infamous nexus 6p bootloop caused by faulty hardware.

Anyone else facing connectivity issues? My mobile network sometimes drops to zero when trying to make calls and others can't call me either. Not a sim issue because I changed it and happened with the new sim too. Started just a few days ago so IDK if it's my phone or the rom because everything was smooth before this started. Happens randomly throughout the day

I don't get FCs but I do get "Couldn't capture screenshots because of limited storage space" errors a lot, even with 29 GB free. Taking another screenshot right after the error works perfectly.

I think I'm due for a fresh install soon. :cowboy:
I'm on stock and get this error often. Seems like a 6P bug

Yes! Started two builds ago and I can't fix. I reflashed wiped everything. Nothing has worked. I am now thinking it's the Sim, but hearing your situation makes me wonder if it's worth the trouble. What carrier are u on? I'm on Verizon

I believe I clean flashed either 15.1-20180312 or 15.1-2018031 and then updated to the latest version via OTA, it worked absolutely fine for about a week and just now my device rebooted when I wasn't looking, and is staying at the Google screen before bootlooping.

Advice?
