Hey guys, i need a new phone quick (im going on traveling, need a good Cam & some Google Support :D) , atleast until better ones are on the market. I allready did much research, also on this phone. I will use it for sure with this ROM, just some open questions:
- hows SOT? (i know theres a thread about it, i read it, but there are very mixed impressions, moreover many dont tell rom/setup or are old reviews)

I got an original battery last month.
4 hours screen on time with good network, 2 hours on a poor network. (Both on LTE)

- did ARCore work with LOS?

I did install ARCore but wasn't working properly for some reason. It was unable to detect well lit objects.

- is this phone easy to break or does it survive a few drops? (i have a problem that i break phones much too fast :( )

I have never used a screen guard or a cover with this phone. I have dropped it on all four corners and a massive dent near the volume buttons which chipped of a minute part of the screen, yet the screen has not cracked.

- anything i should know maybe before buying it?

One problem, since I live in a noisy country, talking on the phone, especially on the street becomes a big problem. Neither am I able to hear the other person talk to me because of the low call volume, nor is the other person able to hear me because of some weird microphone issues.

- from what i know Camera perfomance is pretty awesome. Does it also perfoms good in low light/night?

Camera quality is obviously good as you said. And it's really exceptional in HDR mode.

I get it for about 100euros, is it worth in your opinion?

Thanks. Peace, bejunk.

For €100, I'd say go for it (unless AR Core is an absolute necessity and battery life is not long enough for you).

Burst Mode

I am having an issue with the Google Camera app and Burst Mode. It just doesn't work. I hold down the shutter button down for up to 10 seconds but nothing.... as soon as I let it go it just takes the one shot. I have tried replacing Google Camera with the same version from APK Mirror but still no go. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

What I have done...
1. Wiped App cache
2. Installed same version from APK Mirror (v 5.2.025)

What I am running
Nexus 6P
Lineage OS 15.1 20180709
Magisk v 16
Open Gapps (20180705)
TWRP 3.2.2

Thanks

With the official release of android pie, when can we have it on our device?
Don't worry ,is already here! You just have to follow my instructions and you will be ready to go ...
1-sit in front of your computer .
2-Now you need to be alert cause you're going to hear a voice from your speakers saying "NOW"
3-Then you need to hurry and go to the forum site to download the rom.But you only have 30 seconds to do it cause only the fastest receive the rights to use the rom.So go,right now ..i mean right now and do it .Good luck .:fingers-crossed:

Ohh come on, I didn't wanted to be offensive at all!
Just asking a legitimate question just as every noob in that developers world.
Cheers
LOL just remember 1 thing, when there's new major Android release, you'll have to wait for Google to release source to it b4 even hoping for it to arrive to your device in custom ROM scene. There are gonna be heck a lot of patches to do b4 it can be released as said branded custom ROM

I have a new interesting problem and solution.
Since the last update I had to put my phone on airplane mode for a moment. After disabling airplane mode my phone refused to connect to the mobile network, even after multiple reboots. Finally fixed it by installing Francokernel. I assume reinstalling the kernel would have worked too but I was planning in installing it anyway.

The changes for august security update have been merged. :D

So, you'll need the new august vendor img for the next lineage build.
The radio and bootloader img's are the same as in last month's update from google, so no need to flash them.
I extracted the img's from the august OPM6.171019.030.H1 factory image. You can get them here:

Hello folks. Could anybody confirm whether SafetyNet passes or doesn't on stock LineageOS, non-rooted? And if it doesn't, is there a way around (magisk, relocking)?

What's going to happen in a few months with the security updates? They will stop right? So at that point is it time to look for a new phone?I love this phone and room, but the idea of not getting security patches scares me.

Hi,
On non-rooted phone it passes. If you want to root use Magisk root and Magisk Hide to hide root for applications, for example Google Pay. But remember to not install Xposed as it breaks the SafetyNet
