[ROM][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 15.1 for Nexus 6P (angler)

Forced encryption has been standard on CM/LOS since Lollipop. It's generally considered public knowledge by now, so that's probably why it wasn't mentioned in the OP.

My last CM rom was from jellybean or prior. For the benefit of some of us trying out new roms, a disclaimer (even in fine print) would be nice somewhere in the OP.

Lesson learnt (the hard way and before work) and moving on.
Lets hope i dont end up on the evening news for murdering a customer.

So I installed this and when ever u turn on my data sometimes it stays in the "turned on" state but doesn't show 3g or LTE, and doesn't give internet connection, then at other times it would show the symbols and have internet, just reporting a bug that I found btw I flashed from the latest 8.1 so didn't flash radio vendor etc. Will probably try that tomorrow/after t I morrow running 14.1 currently

No I'm saying that sometimes data doesn't work completely, and nothing shows next to the data icon, and at other times it works just fine

if updating from my previous 15.1 build:
just reboot into twrp recovery, flash the rom zip, then reboot.

major changes since last build:
1. you can now have separate notification and ring volume controls
2. the power menu is fixed and working 100%
3. increased range of display size setting (screen density)
4. downloads show speed and able to pause/resume
5. bluetooth battery level was added to the status bar
6. shake and flip actions were added for snoozing or dismissing alarm
7. a new dark theme setting was added in settings->display (note: still a work-in-progress)

Dirty flash over last build and I have interface system error after rebooting the device. It's maybe due to substratum theme?
I reverted back to the build of 7 January, everything is working.

No issues for me. I also did a dirty flash. Disable substratum theme and try again

Will official Lineage 15.1 be a direct upgrade from this unofficial ROM or will switching to official require a clean flash?

facebook/tumblr app won't work

Lineage OS 15.1 works fine however it wouldn't let me sign in to facebook app or tumblr. I can sign in for facebook messenger and using facebook.com. When I try logging in to tumblr the tumblr.com shows an error saying connection refused and the same happens on the tumblr app (something like connection flaked out). So far I tried clearing data/cache on the apps, airplane mode on 30 sec then tried again, reinstalled both apps, reflashed radio img.

Is there a way to fix this? Thank you in advance.

Are you rooted? If so, what are you using for root (Magisk or SuperSU)? If you are rooted, I have a suspicion that these apps are detecting it and preventing you from logging in.

I'm rooted with magisk and enabled magisk hide for Facebook and Tumblr app but it still shows the same results as before.

Which version of Magisk are you using? Do you pass the Safety Net test within the Magisk Manager application? Are you using Xposed at all?

Using magisk 15.3 and passed safety net. Currently xposed isn't installed. Is it safe to install via magisk downloads for lineage 15.1?
