Hey, whats the point of installing this over continuing to use 14.1? I dont mean to be offensive, but 14.1 works fine and upgrading to 15 will cost me a lot of time to reconfigure all the apps (everybody speaks about clean install in this thread) and my phone works fine as of now. And these has different reported issues (market\camera related\something else).

So any benefits I'm getting? Will 14.1 continue to get updates?

Bugs:
1. There is a issue with network speed on all redmi 3s custom rom. I have a capped 256 kB wifi but when i use vpn statusbar network show twice(or sometime even more) as much as speed actually is (like 500 kB or more). I tried NetSpeed Indicator on play store but this issue is still persist.
2. Front video camera discoloration at night (team reloaded roms doesn't have this bug)
3. loud speaker equalizer doesn't work .
also I'm wondering if this is possible to remove vibrate after fingerprint unlock and add vibration on wrong recognition only just like miui.

Sadly I can't I stall this ROM. When I first dirty flashed over latest 14.1, clock, camera and many other apps didn't work.
So I thought I would need a clean install. However, after formatting data, and wiping everything before installing, I got stuck with a boot loop. The only way I got 15.1 to run was to clean install latest 14.1, then dirtyflash 15.1.
This time, all apps seemed to work. Unfortunately, fingerprint sensor was not recognized, this option even vanished in security settings.

Any advice?

Try this steps:
1. after flashing lineage and gapps mount System in rw mode in Mount menu
2. go to advanced menu, open terminal, and write

echo "ro.setupwizard.mode=DISABLED" >> /system/build.prop

3. reboot

The phone will boot without Setup Wizard, but you can end phone setup in settings with "finish setup" option.

Make sure u flashed gapps for oreo 8.1

Other projects like PE still updates its Oreo builds So i thought the same applies for Lineage.
