Several users reported fail with Open GApps builds 9 & 10 October but success with build 2019-10-06 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/pa-gapps-continuation-t3098071/page625

Success also with MindTheGapps as suggested above.

In TWRP do a Format Data instead of a simple wipe Data + wipe System & both caches.

No More 15.1 Nightly Builds, Any Archived ?

I found a reddit thread recently reporting that the LineageOS project stopped offering 15.1 nightly builds earlier this year (2020); I found one from Feb 2019 archived by Ibuprophen on AndroidFileHost.com that seems to behave well on my old G900T. Surely the *last* official nightly build is archived somewhere, no ? Can anyone here point to an (official) signed nightly build from Feb 2020 for klte ?

I saw that you posted in the 14.1 thread also. Why not install 16.0?

My daily driver is a Galaxy S5 G900M LineageOS 16.0 klte build 2020-07-05 (installed 1 year ago & OTA updated via the built-in Updater at least 20 times since then) + Open GApps Pico + LineageOS AddonSU for root & wrote this on XDA for Windows PC users because Odin is so much easier to use compared to Heimdall to flash TWRP: S5 super clean install

It includes links to update modem & bootloader & how to backup the important EFS partition.

I gave the 16.0 nightly 20200719 build a test run on my spare G900T with nano Open GApps recently. With a fresh OEM battery & battery performance profile set to "Efficiency", the best I was getting out of a 100% charge with the device at rest was about 10 hours before battery went to 0%. The same battery in my other 900T running 15.1 nightly from Feb 2019 is getting over 24 hours between charges with light, intermittent usage.

I like the look & feel of 16.0 (even with the Efficiency performance profile); I'd gladly use it if battery life/performance matched what I'm seeing with this 15.1 official nightly from almost 18 months ago.

S5 LineageOS 16.0 Battery Usage

I gave the 16.0 nightly 20200719 build a test run on my spare G900T with nano Open GApps recently. With a fresh OEM battery & battery performance profile set to "Efficiency", the best I was getting out of a 100% charge with the device at rest was about 10 hours before battery went to 0%...

I get -0.1%/hour battery discharge or less @ idle on my daily driver Galaxy S5 G900M LineageOS 16.0 klte build 2020-07-19 + Open GApps Pico + LineageOS AddonSU for root w/ battery profile default: Balanced, apps auto-update disabled in Play Store, sync enabled.

It's better to use latest unoffical builds bcz they have better security levels.

Haggertk is the maintainer for this device, so builds are as safe as unoficcial builds can be.

Just saw that IKGapirov released an unofficial build (lineage-15.1-20201110-UNOFFICIAL-klte***) for klte, klteduos, kltedv, kltekor.
