Like I mentioned, it used to be fine coming back to stock, but now what I get is errors like below:

Have you tried another usb cable or USB port?
Can you try on another PC?

What is the state of your phone? Can it boot to system? What do you have on its screen?

I tried different cables, different PC's (windows and linux), phone boots to lineage, fastboot mode states flashing unlocked, boots to TWRP or lineage recovery so all seems to be fine but isn't.
Only thing I'm not sure about is the toggled on but greyed out OEM unlock option in phone settings stating that it is already unlocked... but greyed out- can't remember if it was like that before?
Is this the same on your devices?

Yes, once OEM unlock is set, it does show greyed out even on stock. Have you tried wiping and formatting data before attempting to flash stock? It seems that I have usually done that before returning to stock each time. Obviously risky but I don't know what else to suggest. I haven't had any issues and I even just did it yesterday in order to receive the latest security update. (QPWS30.61-21-14). Also, have you tried using Lenova Rescue and Smart Assistant to flash it?

If anyone is interested I came to this last idea and dug out the oldest laptop we have at home and it came through with minimal adb and fastboot!
No idea why, my bet is that this has to do with USB on three other computers I had used being 3.0 only and a 2.0 on the old ASUS.
Anyways, I'm happy I made it and hope this can help someone looking for a solution to a similar problem.

I guess I am not really surprised at this. I learned that lesson the hard way myself but it was several years ago. That is why I always make sure my PC builds have a motherboard with both USB 2 and USB 3. Glad you got it up and running. :good:

Probably the main reason for the low volume in phone calls using the speaker is the fact that only the lower speaker is in use.

Mic not working

Everything is working flawless, except for sound recording, whenever I try to record something, the mic just doesn't work.

This happens in all camera apps, Gcam, Stock, and Moto Cam.

In calling, the mic just works great and sound is loud and clear. Im using the last nightly from 15-09.

Has anyone ever done a firmware update via TWRP? Which files/partitions need to be updated?

I'm looking for updating the firmware only and keeping LineageOS. Not going back to stock and then install LineageOS again.

Yeah, Jleeblanch is very active at the moment. He already pushed device specific changes to gerrit which are already in build lineage-17.1-20200922-nightly-lake-signed.zip.
