Thanks, I successfully updated to LOS17.1 two days ago. I have a TMobile REVVLRY+

I'm now on the April 23rd build, since it and April 21st are the only two on the lineageos download page. I came from Lineage 16. Attempted a dirty flash just wiping system and cache and it didn't reboot. Wiped data and reflashed. It came up, though it also forced me to wipe internal storage (annoying, but expected).

I could not get Google Accounts to log in (checking info loop), which was fixed by wiping OEM partition. This should be probably be on the instruction page.

Issues, not many. So far it works better than LOS16, IMO:
a) where do I find these newer builds that people are referring to? System -> updater says no updates found.
b) How can I pass CTS safetynet. Is there a device fingerprint that anyone has with MagiskHide Props?

I'm not sure how post a new post but thanks for developing this rom. I fairly new to flashing and it was all a little confusing but I got it. Using the twrp posted with the Q versions. I found some good instructions on how to keep twrp and magisk once on the The nightlies updates. Followed it several times and it (the procedure) works!

Magisk Root, A/B Partitions, and OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) Updates
Step 1: Disable Automatic System Updates in Settings
Under developer build info

Step 2: Restore Stock Boot Image When an OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) is Available
To do so, go to the app drawer and launch the ‘Magisk Manager‘ app. Then tap on the UNINSTALL button and select the RESTORE IMAGES option. You should now see the “Restoration done!” message on the screen.Do not! Absolutely do not reboot your phone now, or else Magisk will be uninstalled completely.

Step 3: Install the OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) Update on your Rooted Android Device

Step 4 [Optional]: Retain TWRP Recovery after OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) Installation. This is an optional step and only to followed if you installed Magisk using TWRP recovery (Method 1). It will allow you to retain TWRP recovery after installing the OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) update. For this, you will need to download and install “TWRP A/B Retention Script” (by XDA Recognized Developer osm0sis) from within Magisk Manager. To do so, follow the steps below: Go to the app drawer and launch the Magisk Manager app. Tap on the menu icon (3-horizontal lines) on the top-left of the app’s window.

Step 5: Preserve Magisk Root after OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) Installation
The final step to install Magisk to the inactive slot. This will preserve root after the OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) installation is finished and the device is rebooted into the updated OS.
Tap on the ‘INSTALL‘ button and select the ‘INSTALL‘ option. Select ‘Install to Inactive Slot (After OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES))‘ when prompted to choose the installation method

Step 6: Once the process finishes, tap on the ‘Reboot‘ button. Magisk Manager will now force-switch your Android device to the inactive slot where the OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) update was installed. This will help prevent any post-OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) verifications that the system might have carried.
That’s it! You have just successfully installed an OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) update on your Android device rooted with Magisk. So when the next time an OTA (AKA LINEAGEOS NIGHTLIES) update arrives, you can follow the same instructions to upgrade your device, and that too without losing root.

FYI I cannot and don't take credit for this. This site would not allow me to place a link to the site that I found this information. Hope it helps someone. Also I now lineageos site was down for a few days, any idea on the lack of nightlies for our G7 plus?

Thank you for your report.

How does one "wipe the OEM partition"?

By chance, do you use k9mail. Does it work?

Did you install the stock ROM for Android 10? Or did you flash anything else before?

TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> OEM

I don't k9mail. AFAIK, there Android 10 hasn't been released for the US T-mobile variant. I had their stock 9 version, then Lineage 16. Then Lineage 17.1

Hi folks,

Got this phone few days ok, bought because was easy to find (price and availability on Amazon) to replace my old moto G peregrine (7 years of service, a true hero) that was running lineage.

After two days and reading your inputs, got the phone working.

I had to flash several times, got different issues.

Things i've noticed:

- The copy partition script didn't changed anything for me, rom was working whether I used it (before flash).

- Had to wipe the OEM partition twice to get webview related apps working (for those who have browser or blackscreen on google play) using TWRP (pretty annoying that lineage recovery automatically reinstall over twrp while flashing by the way). If you still have the app 'prip' installed, it hasn't work.

- When wiping OEM, had to reflash lineage rom (dunno why, but ok). Then I flashed opengapps but got an issue saying the version is for android 10x while phone runs 9. You had to boot the rom once to make it work, then flash the apps.

- At this point, rom is working but while phone says I had 59go+ available, google play wanted a SD card pretending I had not enough space. Using the phone factory reset from the options did the trick. Now everything seems to work fine.

Other things I've noticed:

- If my phone is already USB plugged to the computer, I can't turn usb network sharing over USB. I had to unplug and plug back.
- Sometimes, I had to do the same for USB storage.
- Had to use another HOWTO to unlock bootloader: indeed, there is an option to tick among dev menu to really unlock ("Unlock OEM" or something like that).

Thanks for your work, waiting for next release.

Does somebody know how to read system log files in TWRP? I'm still having issues with sudden reboot after unplugging USB data cable and hope to can find some information in the log files.

Hey, there's just an issue with the ROM, if it didn't have this, it would be perfect

When you try to record video with any other app instead of the camera app you put in the ROM, for example Instagram, WhatsApp... You get a video with no audio

It's the only trouble I found.

Disable voice match for Google Assistant.

Thank you for your hard work. In general, it´s a fine and smooth feeling. Use ist for two days.

Came from stock (rooted), but I have some issues.
After loosing the internet connection my contact list is emtpy. I have to restore it with MPE. Shutting down the phone this case does not occur.

Second, com.android.systemui can not be properly executed.

Additionally, when using the phone, the phone speaker is very quiet, even in normal phone and speaker mode.

Any other applications, even Whatsapp calls are normal.
Thank you for any suggestions.
