build number: lineage_lake-userdebug 10 QQ2A.200405.005 c5867f4b50

I'm having an issue with the camera 2 app by Motorola (stock ROM camera app)

When I record a video, the mic seems muted and no audio is recorded in the mp4 video file.

The Lineage OS camera app does record the audio.

Hey, will magisk root work? Where can I get the boot.img to patch?

If Magisk doesn't work, is there any other way?

How to install Magisk

Is no one using Google anymore? If you're not willing, or not capable of doing some basic research, don't even try this stuff... Forums get flooded with the same basic questions over and over because no one is using either Google or the integrated search function. Excuse me for being a bit harsh here, but this is seriously driving me up the wall...

Now now, the long and short of it is some people could be coming from older phones/roms, and be genuinely confused that there's no flashable SU zip. I speak from experience here. It's also weird that on an A/B phone you have to temp boot TWRP because Magisk installs to the bootloader partition? Or you can install TWRP inside Magisk?

Despite my best efforts I'm finally moving on from my ancient OnePlus One (w/ LineageOS 16), and looking into how to get root on this device is weird and confusing. I get the G7 Plus in a few days so I can't wait for my first few bootloops/softbricks! I plan on having a 12-pack on hand for my first night with it.

Low volume in call and speakerphone

Thank you the Pico version worked.

Everything seems to be fine now but with the exception of low in call volume / speakerphone.

I tried viperfx but it didn't make a difference.
Any ideas on how to get this fixed?

Hey, for me, the volume is ok, however it could be louder. But this issue has been reported already for the official lineage project in gitlab.

For me, voice over WiFi and LTE seem not to be working (german network d1). Maybe someone of you could check if its working you? (doesn't matter which operator, maybe it's a general issue although I don't think so). I can activate those features, they are enabled when I check *#*#4636#*#* - phone info, but it says Ims not registered when I check ims service status (three dots in the same view).

However, everything else works great. Thank you for this great work!

For me, VoLTE has never worked on LineageOS, no matter if the phone or the provider supported it. I'm still on stock, but there VoLTE works on 0².

If anyone is interested; just installed the latest build and the audio problem remains. No sound when filming with other apps (like Instagram, Snapchat) than the stock camera.

Can you be a bit more precise please? What's the last build for you? The last one at download.lineageos.org or the last one you see on the device?

@Jleeblanch: Can you explain why the last build on the updater app on the device is build 20200529 whereas on download.lineageos.org it is 20200529 and on buildkite it's 20200601?

Edit: It's weird. 20200601 shows up at download.lineageos.org now. My device still shows only 20200529 as latest version (I'm on 20200429). However, if I copy the URL it is actually pointing to 20200601... There is definitely something wrong.

If you update to 20200529, newer updates will be shown on the device.

I tried it with open camera where microphone input source was set to "camcorder" and was unable to record sound. However, after changing the input source to external microphone, it worked. I don't know if it helps, but my guess is that the microphone should be usually assigned as camcorder source, but is set as external source by default?

Thank's for the info. I've installed 20200601 shown as 20200529 in updater app. After the installation the installed version shows up correctly :good:

It's the 20200601 build. Apart from that it works great.
I've installed it as well. No problems so far for me as I don't use third party apps to record audio ;)

That worked for me as well, unfortunately apps like Telegram, Instagram and Snapchat don't have option to change source.
They all worked without problems in the Lineage 16.x versions.

Can confirm it. Sound doesn't work when using video calls etc. However, pure sound calls work. Seems that moto g6 has the same problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/...phone_not_working_on_video_recording_for_3rd/

I just checked precisely. Sound and video calls work, but not recording video with sound (however, pure sound records work).
