How to flash this LOS17.1 without errors? I am on stock 10.5.9, and I lost touch with flashing roms. If some one tell me step by step adb commands that would be helpful?
Here is what I was about to do: (After going through all the posts I Changed my mind to confirm before flashing)
1. I need to unlock the bootloader first (I think the procedure is first to enable developer settings, OEM unlocking and then some adb codes)
2. Need to flash the recovery (Twrp / Lineage)
3. Clear data/ wipe data, cache or something (I dont know exactly what to do)
4. Need to flash the rom through recovery
Is this all? Please correct me if I am wrong.
I am facing some issues with official OS so I want to try custom roms.

I think you have to boot into twrp not flash,
fastboot boot twrp.img

Then flash rom from there, format data, reboot and done.

I was not able to get the rom from this thread working though. Used the other one

As Japhies said in the last reply: don't flash the recovery, just boot it.

I wasn't able to flash the ROM with the recovery provided in the OP or with TWRP. But I managed to extract the recovery included in the ZIP file from the OP and was able to flash with that. I uploaded it and posted a link a couple of posts back.

I saw you reporting errors, that is why i asked. Thanks for the work around though. I ll wait till the devwloper or someone who successfully used this.

Thank you. I saw that post. I ll use it if noone posts a way to use this or if i cannot find a way to use this.

Greetings!
First of all, I have recently purchased OnePlus Nord N10 5G and since there are no flashing threads about this model (at least I did not find any), I decided to follow this one.
My idea is to install LinageOS by using the LOS recovery ( just boot it).

However, my main concerns are if the provided LinageOS image and the LOS recovery image will work on my phone, since they are not specifically designed for it.
I know, I should give it a try and check on my own, but I just wanted to check if any of you guys have tried it before.

So, any useful input would be valuable for me. Thanks in advance.

EDIT - Tried booting the Linage recovery image. Did not receive any errors, but phone got stuck on Fastboot mode screen with the OnePlus logo. Should I flash it first? If so, can I flash back the original recovery image from the stock OS ROM?

Don't flash it, the rom and the recovery is not made for your phone.

Hello and Happy New Year. Quick update from my site:
I decided to give it a try.
So, I followed the guide from this link https://www.droidwin.com/lineageos-17-1-oneplus-nord/ and successfully installed Linage OS 17.1 on my OnePlus N10.
Everything has been working pretty well so far. I am surprised that the OS is that stable, having in mind that the image is not ported for N10 model.
Nevertheless, there are a few things which are not right:
- There is blank space in the top middle part of the screen, which looks like a front camera slot:
scr1.jpg

I am not sure why I am getting this, as OnePlus Nord does not need this blank space as well.

- Notification icons, carrier name and time on the top left side could be moved a little bit to the right, as currently they appear at the front camera position:
scr2.jpg

This is stange as well, cause Nord model has its front camera more or less on the same position. Probably, this is because of the slightly different screen resolution.

Do you, guys, observe similar issues on OnePlus Nord phones?

I have no experience in porting/developing operating systems and I am not sure how to fix the mentioned issues.

Does anyone has an idea how to resolve them? May be there are some tools which could help. I read about the Xposed framework, but not sure if that could help.

Maybe you can try to change dpi resolution in developer options and maybe search something about the notch in options.. I don't have the ROM installed but maybe you can fix something easy looking this options

Thanks, I digged around in the Dev Options and so far I managed to hide the notch. It reduces the screen size, but now I don't see those irritating glitches.

Hi,

i built LineageOS for Nord - but cannot test as i don't have the device! So just test this if you would be okay to reflash another ROM straight away...
Anyways here is it: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=321740 [2021-01-07].
Leave me some feedback if it works.

Again: Experimental! Sources:
vendor: https://gitlab.pixelexperience.org/android/vendor-blobs/vendor_oneplus_avicii
device: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_oneplus_avicii/
kernel: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_oneplus_sm7250
Thanks to CryllicBuster for your work!

EDIT: don't use

Thanks also to all the people (or was it just you @KakatkarAkshay?) that made this happen.

I see something on the LOS wiki about pre-install instruction. Somthing about copying A to B.
I do not see it here in the install instructions on the first page. Is this step still necessary?

Thanks. Really looking forward to the first official build. :)

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Sadly that seems to be the case: no changes by the maintainer since Jan 27. It's on auto-build or something, since weekly updates do come along with generic updates applied. I don't know how long is that able go on before the device is dropped from the official roster. Maybe another developer will pick it up, if the current maintainer has lost interest in this ROM.

Again, no complaints - it's volunteer work and i'm grateful for it all anyway.
I haven't lost interest, I'm busy irl and don't have time to work on Nord right now.

Yes I also have the problem that Chrome freezes this happens but also with Brave. I have now once reflashed and leave the Props module away. But unfortunately the error is still there. Chrome Crasht after about a minute.

@KakatkarAkshay: Thanks for the info. But do you have any idea why Google Chrome freezes? The Jelly Browser (default system browser) works flawlessly without freezing
    This seems to solve it:

Make sure you backup /vendor/etc/vintf/manifest.xml before editing!
