LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Thanks!

Hi Jleeblanch, I've been following your work since the unofficial twrp for this device many time ago haha, and I just made an xda account to say thanks for all !!! been using the ROM by 3 days now (came from havoc 2.9, also tested the previous lineage builds from your website) I replaced the stock apps with the Gapps and and everything works well and super fast (LTE, Bluetooth, multiple open apps, video, etc) it's a very stable rom, just some lag on the native moto camera app but it's almost imperceptible.
Great job and again thanks a lot!! :D

I have doubts before proceeding to install the rom about its operation, has someone already installed it? Could you inform me about what errors it presents?

Also if you can inform me of how the installation process is.
Thank you

Oh boy!! Right now I can't flash it cuz I'm traveling, but next week I'll try it for sure!

What gapps variant do you guys recommend? Nano, pico?
I tried with every variant, but got error 70 in twrp from nano to stock, so I flashed aroma for replacing stock apps and everything works fine

Many have been using my Lineage builds for beckham for some time and we wouldn't be "official" if we didn't meet all of Lineage's charter requirements (exception being MotoMods in this devices case). As far as MotoMods go, support is more generic on Lineage compared to stock as Moto has frameworks && system changes that will unfortunately never make it into Lineage officially.

Hm, iirc error 70 is a lack of space on system? I personally use opengapps nano and haven't experienced any issues regarding installation. But either way, glad you sorted it out.

The 11/18 ROM is stable. I also was using the unofficial 11/03 ROM which was also quite stable.
Recovery program:
I have not found a recovery program that yields consistent results. If I flash GAPPs (nano, pico) using the built-in recovery, with no errors, sometimes after flashing the ROM & rebooting the ROM doesn't have GAPPS installed. Same experience with using the TWRP recovery (fastboot loaded for boot only). Very inconsistent flash results. Suggestions?
Phone Volume:
A little lower than desired.
Voice to Text:
Voice to text does not work really at all well with AOSP keyboard. If you replace with Gboard, voice to text works better but still seems to hang sometimes. Playing around with that to see how to get it to work best
Google Setup:
When using Google Setup with the ROM, on initial boot the WIFI connection screen never shows WIFI connected even though the WIFI icon on the status bar shows to be connected.
Pretty much all the other features I use work fine. Will be fun to see this ROM get better and better each week.

The only issue I have experienced with this rom is the same I experience with every custom rom I have used for Motorola devices over the years. The wave to wake, or I guess, approach to peak seems a lot less sensitive then stock. With LOS I need to be a couple inches from the phone to get it to engage while stock my display comes on 4 or 5 inches from my phone..

Seems trite but my phone is my clock in my room and muscle memory has me waving my hand over it to see the time.

I just installed this one. So great experience!!
It seems to me that the sensors next to the Motorola logo are not active.
By now, I miss the face-unlock.. :(

The Z3 play must have a way other then the proximity sensor to determine proximity.

the proximity sensor is to the left of the speaker on the top of the phone but the peek function will activate at the bottom of the phone.

Maybe noise via the mic?

Installed it yesterday and loving it!
Did someone tried Magisk?

Just one considerations: notifications volume gain is super high, it's loud! The minimum value is still loud and annoying; is there a way to change it?

And I do miss the motorola clock/weather widget...

I made the update for today version 25/11, nice and easy, i had to reboot manualy i did not prompted me to do so, but no problem at all. After reboot a popup showed finishing instalation and i was at new version loke it was supposed to be.

I vê been using for the last week, the only reboot, was after finished a call received while changing, i unplugged to answer and when i finished the call it rebooted.
