with ANXCamera you get the best results.

This works for me:

I only install MiuiKamera.zip and ANXCameraUnity_185R.SaltyIntelligentPlainsqueaker.zip.
Portrait mode is working fine.
I'll test it. Thank you.

update:

I have now tested. Works so far. But in the 185R version, unfortunately I can't set 60fps on video recordings. This is possible in AXN version 170.

I installed ANXCameraUnity_185R.SaltyIntelligentPlainsqueaker.zip and 48MPFixR_201.DullAggressiveHylaeosaurus.zip from the official website via Magisk, rebooted, set the app permissions. Everything seems to work so far, also 60fps on video recordings

Unfortunately, portrait mode doesn't work with this compilation either. App crashes.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
only one question, its posible to remove the keyboard seleccion bar? it allways apear in the botton of the screen when the keyboard apears.
In other rooms exist a option to disable it and it will be very usefull.
I don't remember exactly which file to edit, but on LineageOS 16.1 I edited in that file "1 to 0" and the navigation buttons disappeared and the keyboard sat right down on the display like on MIUI. I did it via TWRP.
I did this because of the lack of gesture control in 16.1. There was only the active bar.
But I had to repeat this every time after installing updates.

Upgraded yesterday from 17.1. Everything works good. Thank you for your work!

A little issue I had and a workaround for anybody else running into this:
After installing the Rom an NikGapps (Core) the display didn't show me incomming calls. I got a ringtone but I couldn't accept a call.
I tried some solutions googling "Android doesn't show incoming calls" but none of them worked.
I realised that the phone app was in version 23. Via playstore I installed the latest Google phone app, version 64 side by side to the existing one. In preferences set the new app as standard app and now it works.

Tried to do clean install of latest build 20210514 with NikGapps 20120514 (tried basic, omni, full). No Luck. Always get dropped back to TWRP (latest = 3.5.2-9) after reboot.

Procedure:
- wipe data
- wipe cache & system
- sideload LOS
- sideload NikGapps
- reboot
-> back to TWRP

Also tried same procedure with previous build (20210507) same issue.

I cannot use MindtheGapps as it does not provide Exchange services (at least they are not working). I need Exchange to be working with Gmail, Contacts & Calendar.

Any idea?
Thanks

Update: Looks like Active Sync works with MindtheGapps after all ...

There are open souce options for Contacts and Calendar: DAVx5, say, and K-9 Mail works for gmail.

    I install lineage-18.1-20210402-nightly-polaris-signed.zip today. Coming from lineage-17.1-20210326-nightly-polaris-signed.zip.

Error: "Can't load Android system. Yozr data may be corrupt. If you continue to get this message, you may need to perform a factory reset an erase all user data stored on this device."

    1. Tryagain
    2. factory reset

    Woah!?

i will try to boot in twrp again and erase this crap. then i will flash the old one!

update: I reinstall EVERYTHING to 18.1!

    I used 18.1 gapps "NikGapps-basic-arm64-11-20201231-signed.zip"
    Hi,
Any specific reason why you used NikGapps from Dec2020 and not a more recent one? I'm facing issues with installing NikGapps from May on a clean 18.1 installation. LOS does not boot after Gapps installation (without it's fine). Switched to MindtheGapps now ...

Is the regression of the charging sounds customization intended behavior on LOS18.1?

On 17.1 I was able to select different charging sounds for wired and wireless charging and enable/disable vibration.
On 18.1 I can not use custom charging sounds and I can not disable vibration while still keeping the sounds enabled.

Description of current behavior on LOS 18.1:
    1. "Sound" menu:
      • Charging sounds and vibration
        • Only possible to enable or disable charging sound including vibration.
        • Not possible to disable vibration while still having charging sounds enabled.
        • Not possible to customize the charging sounds.
1 - Charging sounds and vibration ON or OFF.png
    2. Search results when searching for "charging sounds" in settings.
      • "Charging sounds" will navigate to a menu which is not accessible from anywhere else - you can only open it when using the search function (see item 3).
      • "Charging sounds and vibration" will navigate to what I have described in item 1.
        2 - charging sounds search in settings.png
    3. "Charging sounds" menu:
      • Enable: Setting is synchronized with "Charging sounds and vibration" from the "Sound" menu (see item 1).
      • Vibrate: Enabling/disabling has no effect.
        • Phone vibrates even if this setting is disabled.
      • Notification sound: Selecting a different sound file has no effect.
        • When phone is charged via USB, only the sound "ChargingStarted" will be played.
        • When phone is charged via wireless charging pad, only the sound "WirelessChargingStarted" will be played.
        • The audio files "ChargingStarted" and "WirelessChargingStarted" can be found in the notification sound selection menu.
          3 - charging sounds - sound on-off, vibrate on-off, select sounds.png 4 - WirelessChargingStarted.png 5 - ChargingStarted.png
    Expected behavior for LOS 18.1:
    • Being able to access the "Charging sounds" menu from the "Sounds" menu
    • Being able to disable vibration in the "Charging sounds" menue
    • Being able to use custom notification sounds for wired and wireless charging.

    Hi,

I would like to "dirty flash" from the latest 17.1 build of LineageOS using TWRP but I am kind of confused by the instructions.

On the first page here in the thread, the Google Apps installation section is crossed out, but on the official LineageOS wiki it states that I have to update GApps first after the upgrade (and before the reboot).

I am using OpenGApps and it looks like there is no Android 11 release available yet, therefore updating OpenGApps before reboot won't work.

Long story short - does updating from 17.1 without losing GApps work? Or do I have to wipe the phone and use another GApps package? If so, which one do you recommend?

    Thank you!

Would be really great to have the auto-brightness issue resolved. Under low light conditions brightness is going to zero. Manual changes from that are still not learned.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

      GPL compliance:

      Working:
      • Camera (and flashlight)
      • WiFi
      • NFC
      • Bluetooth
      • Telephony (Calls and Data)
      • IMS (RCS, VoLTE and WiFi Calling)
      • Audio (Record and Playback)
      • Video Playback
      • Sensors
      • GPS
      • Encryption (FBE)
      • WiFi Display

      Broken:
      • Nothing (?)

      Compatibility:
Compatible with all Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S variants.
Builds are based off the Xiaomi's Android 10 firmware with proprietary blobs from MIUI v11.0.4.0 global stable package.

      Downloads:

      Notice:
      • No custom kernels are supported in this thread. Only stock kernel and official builds will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case.

      Installation:
      • Reboot to recovery (TWRP recovery for Mi MIX 2S)
      • Format /system, /data and /cache
      • Install LineageOS zip package
      • Install [optional] a Google Apps package of your choice (Open GApps is advisable, but stock and super variants are not recommended!!!)

      Important notes:
      • * Required * firmware version must be based on MIUI Q-based builds.
      • GApps can only be flashed on clean installs.
      • Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.

      Credits & collaborations:
All LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!
