Had the WLAN issue again this morning
(phone was constantly going from 4G to WLAN and back to 4G)
There was other devices working fine on the wlan router so i know it was probably not to blame

Tried restarting, TWRP cache clear, toggling WLAN and leaving it off for a little while, nothing helped.
Logcat of one such 4G - Wlan - 4G process:

I ... think? ... the critical part is here:

Code:

There is some kind of SSL failure?? Or a timeout?

Also in true Schroedinger fashion the phone finally snapped out of it while i was reading this logcat. Its now connected to WLAN as it should be.
I had a similar issue after installing last week's update (july 10th). I flashed it back to the former version (from july 3rd) and everything was working fine again. So it might have to do something with the 10.07 built. Sorry no logcat, needed the phone urgently, but beside not connecting to wifi I remember there was some alert with crashing system ui, when I opened settings.
I will try today's built and I am curious how this will work
-------------
installed latest built now - and this seems to work well

I'm happy to report that everything went smoothly and the swap from MindTheGapps to OpenGapps has completed without any problems. All my apps that rely on Google Services Framework got hooked automatically to the new package and it was NOT necessary to reset any ID or reinstall any app to get push notifications.
Also, all the settings of my apps (Gmail, etc.) remained intact, as well as Magisk settings even though I wiped /system and /vendor. So we are lucky that every setting seems to be written in /data.

As anticipated by using the 'pico' package, it has even removed useless (for me) Google packages (Markup, etc.).

In the end, I used 3C All-in-One Toolbox to clean leftovers (if any) and optimize databases and startup code of apps, and the phone feels like a fighter jet 👍

I just did the same as duttyend did.
So far, OK Google hotword detection seems to be working and stays working! I'll definitely need to test for longer, but so far it seems to have worked!

Don't wanna get everyone's hopes up, but I've no longer witnessed the low-backlight-in-dark-situations either.

[One night later]
Hhm, woke up this morning to a non-working 'OK Google' detection again. :/
The search continues!

As a side note, for those interested in cleaning their system and speeding up the device even more, you could use the attached options in 3C All-in-One Toolbox, which made a real difference (no snake oil) to me.

Hello @bgcngm

A quick bug report about the "display cutout" feature.
I currently set it to "Hide" from developer settings and since in the "lineage-18.1-20210710-nightly-beryllium-signed" version, I notice I struggle to drag down the notification panel.

Doing more tests and I discover we can no more drag the notification panel from the top of the screen (the black part where the cutout is hidden). You have to start the drag movement carefully from the notification bar then drag down.

I wonder if it could be a regression from https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_frameworks_native/+/304520 ?

And thanks for your hard work 👍

After the last update (18.1-20210717) I can not boot into system, the phone always goes back into TWRP.

I tried to roll back to 18.1-20210703, but now the password for encryption is wrong.

The problem was out of date TWRP !!!

Can confirm, this is super annoying.

Hello all,

I'm sorry if it has already been asked somehow (I could not find it using search): will I be able to run my mobile bank apps using this rom? Is the safetynet check bypassed somehow?

I'm thinking about flashing a custom rom since my company required 2021/01 security patches to let me run MS Teams and with the original OS we are stuck at 2020/12, but it's the first time with the poco f1 :)

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Same here. I'm currently testing the newly introduced option for auto brightness (one shot, check only once). I hope that this might fix the issues I had with previous versions. so far so good, but let's wait and see
Replying to myself: unfortunately the new option doesn't have a positive effect regarding the auto brightness bug on my device, behavior is still broken

For your information, latest release (2021.08.28) is working fine here.

20210911 works fine here - Android security update is still August 5, 2021.

Hi. About Gps. So behavior is strange: gps tool is able to lock fine, but ll maps application are not able to keep the fix. Even with the background gps service app it does not work. So gps is fixed in background, but upon switching to maps the fix is there but in few seconds the circle around position increases and stays non fixed..
I checked the permissions on both gps a0s amd maps are the same-location and acctyvity sensors...

What could it be, so weird.. is it somehow related to the gapps installed? I did not try switching.

Apps used: gps test-fixes fine, gmaps-no fix, no speed, etc.

Sptember 25 version has build prop ro.build.version.security_patch=2021-09-05
This happens due to denial location permission of com.google.android.gms.
This can be fixed by grant the location permission using adb shell

adb shell pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION adb shell pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

Flashed today's build 20210918 and we got September security patch 20210905. Everything seems as usual 🙂

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

    GPL compliance:

    • IMS (RCS, VoLTE and WiFi Calling)
    • Audio (Record and Playback)
    • Video Playback
    • Sensors
    • GPS
    • Encryption (FBE)
    • WiFi Display

    Broken:
    • Nothing (?)

    Compatibility:
Compatible with all Xiaomi Poco F1 variants.
Builds are based off the Xiaomi's Android 10 firmware with proprietary blobs from MIUI v11.0.3.0 global stable package.

    Downloads:

    Notice:
    • No custom kernels are supported in this thread. Only stock kernel and official builds will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case.

    Installation:
    • Reboot to recovery
    • Format /system, /data and /cache
    • Install LineageOS zip package
    • Install [optional] a Google Apps package of your choice (Open GApps is advisable, but stock and super variants are not recommended!!!)
    Important notes:
    • * Required * firmware version must be based on MIUI Q-based builds.
    • GApps can only be flashed on clean installs.
    • Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.

I am a little bummed about Lineage OS 17.1 official support being dropped as I was really happy on that ROM.
You do realize that I am human and can't support both branches, right?
