I don't think anything can be used in the current official build because of the bootloop issue.
I apologise for not having read this thread thoroughly, however in my personal experience the current official build is pretty reliable. I do experience a few quirks, which can be worked around easily. My device seems to boot loop indefinitely, if connected via USB. Otherwise it does always take two or three loops before it finally finishes, but once up it operates properly. The other quirk I encounter regularly would be the sluggish graphics after waking the device from sleep. This can in turn be fixed by putting in sleep and waking it up again.

Because Lineage 13.0 is no longer officially supported and I haven't got anything newer running stably yet. I haven't completely stopped work on the device, but it's decidedly lower priority now. So... Slowly working on it.
Ah OK. Thanks for the info and of course for the effort.

I'm running nightly 02-11-18 and it seems every existing copy of lineageos for roth has been wiped from the internet. I'm frankly a tad unsettled by that, since I don't have a copy of the zip either.

All the hardware works, yes. Some of the software features aren't ported like touch mapping for the gamepad, wireless controller support, gamestream, etc. But for the normal use cases I have of retroarch, a handful of controller enabled native games, and kodi, everything works beautifully. So, depends on your use cases.
Will or is the touch mapping for the gamepad ported/added to the OS today? cause it's the feature i use/need the most when i'm getting certain games that doesn't have proper native controller support, and really wanna get this OS for the adoptable storage as my shield portable's "foldermount" root app is using up all of the internal with debris or something leaving me with max 70GB of games on the micro sd with only 1.7GB left on the internal.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Instructions :
  • Download the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash the latest build and gapps

Reporting Bugs
  • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console_ramoops. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

When I click on the link to go to the linageos download page, I get page not found.
I also search for shield under the nvidia sections and its not there.
Is the device nolonger supported?
if that is the case where can I download the latest working LinageOS zip?

So, I do still poke at the Portable here from time to time. Not putting much time at all into, but I do try to get it working every once in a while. Tried getting P to compile recently, but ran into a few issues. A major one is that a normal tablet style build now exceeds the system partition size. And while some things can be done to make that smaller, doing so while still leaving room for gapps is gonna be nigh impossible. So, when I go to continue messing with it, I'm likely going to switch fully over to atv builds. That all being said, I never even got Oreo to boot, so there may not be much I can do one P either. But I've not given up. There's some other crazy things I want to try, but finding time and sanity *after* the more recent devices are caught up is proving difficult.
