• If you are experiencing issues logging in, we moved to a new and more secure software and older account passwords were not able to be migrated. We recommend trying to reset your password, then contacting us if there are issues.
  • Nearly done! Migration cleanup is mostly done. There are a small number of issues left that we continue to work on, but all the heavy lifting is done. We still would love to hear feedback over at this thread and also check out the new XDA app! Thanks and we hope you enjoy the new forums, and thanks for your support of XDA <3

Installation Guide for New Builds (09/09/15+)

This installation guide is only valid for people on a pre-B322 bootloader. If you're on B322+, you should be all set.
Guide provided courtesy of @superbass311.
1. Download B321 Recovery from:
https://drive.google.com/folderview...sharing&tid=0B-nJFDpWA4MdVjhEYzU3TXlMZ0U#list
2. Copy recovery to your adb folder (usually c:\adb)
3. flash recovery using ADB ( I recommend renaming the file to something easier like b321recovery.img so it will be something like "fastboot flash recovery c:\adb\b321recovery.img
4. Download B322 Image from Huawei Site:
5. http://consumer.huawei.com/us/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=52043
6. Unzip and copy dload folder to your SD Card on your phone.
7. Power off phone and do the following.
8. Turn off the phone. Hold vol up+vol down+power until the Huawei logo comes up and then release only the power button. Keep holding the vol up+vol down until it starts upgrading/installing.
10. Once phone boots go to about phone and keep clicking "build number" until you unlock developer options
11. Enable "USB Debugging" in Developer Options under Settings.
12. Download TWRP 2.8.7.0 from:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347796529
13. Flash TWRP same you you flashed stock recovery in step 3. (I would rename to twrp.img) (fastboot flash recovery c:\adb\twrp.img)
14 Boot back into TWRP and restore your backup or install new build.

This ROM is OFFICIAL and new builds will be on BasketBuild every Sunday. Changelog is in the third post.

Changes can be found by looking at the PAC Gerrit and/or mdmower's device tree and kernel located at https://github.com/Split-Screen/android_device_huawei_mt2 && https://github.com/Split-Screen/android_kernel_huawei_msm8928

How to use F2FS?
Code:
[LIST]
[*]Install my TWRP image located HERE
[*]Reboot to Recovery
[*]Select Wipe
[*]Select Advanced Wipe
[*]Toggle Cache and then Select Repair or Change File System
[*]Select Change File System
[*]Select F2FS
[*]Swipe to Change
[*]Repeat for /data, and /system.
[*]Profit, you're done. Now install PAC and optional Google Apps.
[/LIST]

I managed to get chrome going. Accessing web is a no go. Bookmarks or manually typing aa URL and it just sits. Keeps crashing through touch activities. Initial setup of the phone crashes as well. Clicking OK and it doesn't reappear.

I'm gonna see if I replicate that on today's build. As of now, it's compiling, but should be finished and uploaded within the next 10-15 minutes.

Also: Due to overall lack of interest, I'm moving this from nightly to weekly starting next Wednesday, and then probably semi-weekly. That way it would be easier to focus my attention to other projects and it frees up a ton of resources. Also, change logs are now going to be posted every Wednesday as well in post #3, not too long after the newest build is posted.

Yeah, there's not a lot of people with this phone. I think the people that do have this phone but aren't on here are most likely the ones that give no cares about flashing things.

But still, thank you so much for doing this. It is deeply appreciated by all of us. :good:

So far. How would you rank the three available ROMs (as they stand) for those who would like to flash one of them ?
This is the only one to be updated so far. And it is much improved. Battery is much better and everything works. UI is smooth and quick. Faster than stock by far. They must have pulled the newest additions from Matt's guthub. No cell problems at all. Battery life seems close to stock. Haven't had a chance to verify exact life. But I am not running and wqkeloxk blockers or limiters. Am at 90% and screen has been on 1.2 hours. But I have been uodqting from play store and redownloading apps. Setting up screen etc. Will post again later with screen shots.

That's excellent news !! Why wouldn't you do a screen cast of the ROM ? No need for a voice over or anything. Just record the screen while showing off the ROM features, what works etc . . . Please do that.
