Interesting. I kinda want to try it but seems like alot of work ;). My prior CM11 based rom tests all lead me back to modified stock. CM11 isn't smooth and fluid on this device for whatever reason.

I like the ROM so far but why is the DPI scaling on the icons out of whack? Anyone else noticing this especially when in landscape?

can you upload a screenshot?

i run almost exclusive at 90% font size (settings-->Display&Lights-->Font Size) and use nova launcher to change icon size

Ok, rom is really running smooth, like exceptionally smooth... Nice!
2 real bugs I've found:
-theme chooser previews don't appear and more importantly they don't apply. System stops briefly, but no theme applied even with a reboot.
-knock on barely works. Assuming that's kernel related (double tap is enabled in settings)

Love the new boot animation! Awesome build!

Here is portrait mode, you can still tell it looks off with icons large and close together.

Your going to have to run a third party laucher for now if you want to modify icon size and layout(nova with icon size to 70% is perfect imo).

1 Theme Chooser is broken and is being worked on, it will work soon
2 Knock on has never worked (at least for CM11, and here as well for me) reliably, and yes this is kernel related

Mahdi has knock on working and infected's cm11 build does too if that helps in getting it working here. Haven't tried actual stock cm11 yet.

And a big yes to nova for the poster above. Working perfectly here...

Took a look and for now i cant find anything different that madhi or infected are doing that pac isnt, we are all pulling from the same base (case in point a poster using a custom kernel (dyn) based on cm mentions that knock on might take 3 times on madhi to turn on. Trying it now, sometimes it captures it on the first try and other times it takes 2-3, which while rarely, would occur even on stock.

EDIT: Try Unchecking and Checking Tap to Wake in Settings-->Display&Buttons and see if that helps

IS there anyway to make the quick settings and notification drawer the same like on a phone or stock rom? I hate that there are two separate drawers (left=notifications and right=quick settings). I looked everywhere as I figured it was a customizable settings but stuck out... Any insight here?

Loving the rom overall and will try nova to get the icon size right.

yeah thats hybrid settings which does that, which unfortunately is not here (or in paranoid for that matter)
as soon as it the paranoid guys bring it up on pa and merge it, it will be on here as well...;)

as for the drawers, either bump your dpi to 321 or higher (editing the build.prop using your app of choice) or if you the xposed route use app settings and change android to the dpi i just mentioned (321+)

I think you're referring to the LCD density value. That should actually be decreased not increased default on this Rom is 320 I read setting it differently can cause a hung boot. I went ahead and did it anyway setting it to 270 and sure enough it hung. Had to boot to recovery and reflash, decided to go back to stock based Rom for now until the kinks are worked out.

Huh?....
You can pretty much chance the lcd density to whatever you want, especially nowadays... Almost all apps/system operations are adapted for multi DPI usage due to the variance amongst devices. Our device here is no exception....200-400 is the "safe zone" with 320 being proper, but up to 480 will probably work and as low as 180 too..
270 will absolutely not be the reason for not booting. Something else must have happened. If anything you would get fc's, not a bootloop...

correct i mean ro.sf.lcd_density (you can use lcd_density and DPI interchangeably as most do already) and its correct, its a bit counter intuitive but the lower the lcd_density the smaller the Virtual Pixels for a more tablet look, while setting lcd_density higher makes the Virtual Pixels bigger allowing for the phone look
What you might be thinking are DIP (Density Independent Pixels or True Pixels) Different things...;)

for reference look at the Per APP Density Setting xda thread (if you dont believe me...;)) you dont have to set dp as the density is enough if you do use app settings

DO NOT USE THESE DPI/density settings

How to Enable Phone UI for Apps (depends on app if it has phone UI support).
- Set dpi to 320 and choose 800x1280 on the dropdown box then save. You may also choose between 214 to 320 dpi.

How to Enable Phablet UI for Apps (depends on app if it has phablet UI support).
- Set dpi to 213 and choose 800x1280 on the dropdown box then save. You may also choose between 213 to 178 dpi.

How to Enable Tablet UI for Apps (depends on app if it has tablet UI support).
- Set dpi to 177 or 160 and choose 800x1280 on the dropdown box then save. You may also choose any value between 177 to 160 dpi.
as you can see higher dpi heads to more a Phone look while lower you get a more tablet look
and of course our density settings are bit higher (Phone UI starts at 321+ because of our size and resolution iirc, and since we dont have tablet ui anymore, so thats probably why the boot loop happens, as bunch of stuff with Tablet UI was ripped out in 4.4)
