LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Instructions :
  • Download the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot to recovery
  • Flash the latest build and gapps
  • Reboot
Downloads :
Reporting Bugs
  • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
  • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
  • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
  • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

  • Battery is similar as LOS16, haven't used it for long yet though!
  • Split screen is not working. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? #Edit: It's working, actually. It just works differently. Bug or feature?
  • Other than that, everything seems normal.

Many thanks for the quick reply. Few questions please...

1, In your earlier post you said, "Dirty flashing worked flawlessly". So you just flashed this 17.0 over LOS 16.0 through TWRP, and then before rebooting, you flashed OpenGapps beta for Android 10 (that you have linked), right?

2, Any issues with Magisk 20.1 or 20.2 (if you have it installed)?

My wifi works fine so far.
The only issue I have is a force close whenever I try to open expanded desktop (Settings>Display), anyone else?

Not sure if ROM, but some other things crash too:
Digital wellbeing
Wallpaper (sometimes)

    OpenGapps 10 are stable now!

Thank you, LuK! I'm enjoying LOS 17 already. Dirty flashing worked flawlessly.

To others who wanna try this ROM: OpenGapps for Android 10 are currently in beta and can be downloaded here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm64/beta/

EDIT: OpenGapps 10.0 are not beta anymore! Download them on the ususal website: https://opengapps.org/

i really wanna try this rom but i don't have the time to get my stuff back going if i mess it up or something. Can i use this as my daily driver? Currently using los 16 and it's pretty stable and fast.

for me, it's stable enough as daily driver. but the update may fail. it is a risk... if i were you, i'd do a complete backup in TWRP, then you can roll back easily. if you don't have enough space on your device, you can backup directly to your computer: https://www.theandroidsoul.com/twrp-backup-pc-adb/

((btw, upgrade from 20200104_191334 to 20200111_135009 required me to flash gapps again but worked well otherwise.))
