Couldn't install lineage-17.1-20200307_153746

Just in case if anyone run into the similar issues, always take a backup first.

While trying to install the latest ROM lineage-17.1-20200307_153746 through TWRP, I ran into Error: 7.

Error message I got in TWRP:
Code: 
Patching system image unconditionally.
E1001: Failed to update system image.
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7.
Error installing zip file '/sdcard/LineageOS/lineageos-17.1-20200307_153746-UNOFFICIAL-natrium.zip'
I had removed Magisk before installing the ROM. Luckily, using USB-OTG, I was able to flash Luk's ROM from lineage-17.1-20200209_155551.

Though even after flashing Feb 09 RM, the phone wouldn't boot, so flashed the ROM again and this time flashed open_gapps-arm64-10.0-pico-20200307, rigth afterwards, and finally was able to log into the phone.

Then somehow permissions of all the apps including Play store, Play services etc were reset to none. So had to correct the permissions too.


Edit: I was updating the ROM from Feb 09 to Mar 07.

Has someone managed to get V4A up and running? I've tried already a few ways of installing it but every time I got stuck at fastboot screen and I would have had to uninstall Magisk via recovery.

Yup. IT work well. On early versions android 10 delete post-data-fs from viper magisk module folder in recovery

Hi Folks. Mi Phone Mi 5S Plus. OS version Lineage 17.1. Gapps Pico. Bluetooth Devices Ashank Bluetooth Slider C200. Control Software Smoothone. Program wants Android Version 9.0. My Daily Cellphone Mi Note 10. I have no trouble connecting with the Mi Note 10. But I am constantly having trouble with Mi 5S Plus. It is very difficult to connect and it breaks constantly. What would you advise me about this? Is there a setting I should make? Shall we not switch to another os version?

Installed it and have been using it for the past few days. Battery seems to be fine for daily casual work e.g. checking social media basic browser work. How seems to have issues when running intensive software e.g. high intensive graphics games. I play Call of Duty Mobile and it's not the smoothest experience. Overheats very easily and causes the CPU to start throttling. Otherwise all good. Thanks for Android 10 ??

Heads up, hopefully the developer may pick up on this.

Unable to setup up screen lock, whenever I attempt to set up pin lock it mentions that it has been done but reverts back to none lock status (swipe or none).

Not essential for me as I use it as an entertainment spare but someone else might be interested in working on this
