one more thing that isn't supported is use of home button while screen is on. You can use the button while screen is off, it will light up the screen. But once its on, you can't use it.
It's really nothing, and it doesn't bother me at all. Just wanna point out the things that are not supported (yet) in this rom.

Besides that, this ROM is absolutely perfect. Very smooth, very low battery consumption. No lag whatsoever.

No, Samsung proprietary hardware will not work on AOSP LOS roms, this is due to Samsung not using code that universally works, if you looking to use services like volte vofi or the iris scanner then this is not the place for you.

I don’t know but someone can try to install the Samsung apps once...most of the spen features are handled by the app and not the system
Hey, what if i backup the Samsung Apps with Titanium i.e. and restore them in the LOS rom?
Would they work?
I guess i should test this, but what you think?

Any apps start with SAMSUNG or "S" wont work on LoS or AOSP, hence the name S as in Samsung it require specific samsung libs. Even if any S apps are working, it wont be running perfectly.

Anybody who wish to use AOSP/LoS or anything similar, should drop and forget about any samsung apps, unless it is ported to run on AOSP. Focusing on apps which start with G as in Google instead of S.

Anyone by chance tested LOS 17.1 with Android Auto connected to a car? It is working on the Note 9? Thx
Only tried with one of my cars, in the Renault it worked, since I'm in voluntary confinment I'm not driving so I didn't test on the others, but I can try to see if in the VW works. But i guess if it is working on one it will work on the others.

Has anyone tried the Galaxy Wearable app with LineageOS? I'm curious if the Galaxy Watch will still be recognized by the app with this ROM.

Also, is the Google Camera working?

By editing the build.prop so that you fake to another device (i.e Xiaomi) you can make it work. There are some tuts here on XDA.

MicroG Not Supported by LineageOS

...Developer must patch the system for MicroG to work.
LOS provides LOS MicroG build for some devices but its up to them/developer.
I want the MicroG build too but we have to wait.
That's all false as official LineageOS does not support the MicroG signature spoofing hack in any way.

Read the detailed post here by a LineageOS dev about why LineageOS does not support MicroG & the security risk it introduces.

Go to a MicroG thread or website if you want it
***

can anybody confirm that microG is supported or not ?
Not.
