No ,the update app also restores the baseband.
Edit: If you are going to do it from a backup if you would have to install baseband stock

I installed the update.app having the twrp , without having to install the recovery stock first.

i didn't uploaded it. ril is not working and some more little bug...will upload when ril will be ok.

Just one day I tried and the update.app was installed without problems.I think it was the TWRP version 2.8.7.0

When I last tried it, I flashed the UPDATE.APP and it flashed the stock rom and the stock recovery.

Cool, so TWRP 2.8.7 can recognize update.app from HUAWEI and flash it throughout the phone to make everything back to stock? That sounds great.

Edit : @michael bestas has the jalebi ril working well. However he has problems with the lettuce and tomato.

I had the best battery using 31.10.2016 (or around that date).
