how to update from lineage-15.1-20180830-UNOFFICIAL-cherry.zip to lineage-15.1-20180903-nightly-cherry-signed.zip by Software updater in settings.
No new updates are shown.

I don't have an official cherry device, but I'd imagine you need to flash official ROM first for it to recognise updates. (Unofficial ROM won't look for an official update. )

Flash full ROM from here: https://download.lineageos.org/cherry as you did with unofficial ROM, and then you may see OTA updates. PW.

build lineage-15.1-20180903-nightly-cherry-signed.zip working fine but still has battery draining
battery usage in this LOS 15.1. at battery saver mode equals to normal mode in LOS 14.1

Should be ok. Use Che1-CL10 link under Download in OP.
Think you need TWRP ver. 3.2.3 or above for O. Did you try TWRP_3.2.3-0_O_cherry.img? (Link under Installation in OP.) PW.

But honor 4x che1-L04 india, the max twrp i could able to install is twrp ver 3.0.2-0 , if i try higher version then i am getting target size error. can i know whats the max stable twrp version for honor 4x cherry che1-l04

As I said, I think you need latest twrp for O, but I don't know about target size error. I think you'll need to solve it to flash 15.1. Perhaps someone else knows solution, or you could provide more info regarding this error. PW.

Flashing from PC, looks like you may either have removed .img extension from file, forgotten to type .img in flash command, in folder options windows is set to 'hide file extensions for know file types' (uncheck this) and you have mistakenly renamed the file TWRP*.img.img, file is simply missing from folder containing fastboot.exe, you have otherwise mistyped file name, or you haven't navigated to the folder where fastboot.exe is located in and run the command from there.

Of course you can also flash new TWRP from old TWRP. Put .img file on SD and select Install, Install IMG to flash, then Reboot, Recovery. Hope it helps, PW

Flashing from PC, looks like you may either have removed .img extension from file, forgotten to type .img in flash command, in folder options windows is set to 'hide file extensions for know file types' (uncheck this) and you have mistakenly renamed the file TWRP*.img.img, file is simply missing from folder containing fastboot.exe, you have otherwise mistyped file name, or you haven't navigated to the folder where fastboot.exe is located in and run the command from there.

Of course you can also flash new TWRP from old TWRP. Put .img file on SD and select Install, Install IMG to flash, then Reboot, Recovery. Hope it helps, PW

Bro, thanks for the tips, but i am sure that i have downloaded different version of twrp from their official site and selected for cherry model my device, i have put the twrp in the fastboot.exe folder, renamed twrp.img and opened cmd from the fastboot files folder and check fastboot devices first to check if the phone is connected by displaying its serial or device number and procced with the recovery flashing for every twrp version i tried to upgrade the max twrp without error i can install is thr version i have mentioned above, you have given a very good tip of putting the img in sd and flash let me try that and ill let you know, if some one who have installed lineage 15 in honor 4x che1-l04 then please reply with your twrp version and steps ill be grateful so as with guys like me who have the device, bro pndwal thank you.

Not sure what official TWRP is available, but I still think you'll need 3.2.3 for flashing Oreo.

Others trying to install twrp got error message like "Target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes; error: cannot load 'twrp.img': unknown error" when ADB simply can't find .img file, hence my suggestions.

Since you renamed the file, I'm still wondering if there is a difference with what you typed. File must have .img extension, but not be *.img.img, which many mistakenly renamed to when folder options in windows is set to 'hide file extensions for known file types'. (If 'hide extensions' is checked, file appears as *.img even though really *.img.img. It's a dumb windows default setting).

If there are no typos or mismatches, do try to flash new TWRP from old TWRP (Put .img file on SD and select Install, Install IMG to flash, then Reboot, Recovery - and let us know how it goes), but if this succeeds, it should also work from ADB. PW.

Latest vesion of twrp by @dianlujitao is the one I suggested, and linked to from OP (I think he's been trying to flash this). Good suggestion to try version 3.0.3. PW

"the original version of twrp for this phone" is not a thing. official twrp for cherry is for a random kirin device which has the same codename as ours:/

remember to
extract the updater-script file from rom file
delete the assert(getprop) part in updater-script file
i mean from "assert" word untill "this device is " + getprop("ro.product.device") + "."); " (from start to end of paragraph)
because if you don't do this you get an error when you try to install Lineage os 15.1
then drag the edited file into rom file in Winrar to replace with original file
then install this rom with twrp 3.0.3

updater-script file location : root of rom file/META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script

To install LOS 15.1 without problems and without modifying scripts need the twrp 3.2.3-0-O. (the twrp 3.2.3-1 gives errors in the installation).
