To install LOS 15.1 without problems and without modifying scripts need the twrp 3.2.3-0-O. (the twrp 3.2.3-1 gives errors in the installation).

He can't install twrp 3.2.3.
because of this I suggest him to install 3.0.3 instead of 3.2.3

Stable TWRP (currently TWRP_3.2.3-0_O_cherry.img) is the only one linked from OP in this thread, or from OP in TWRP thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4x/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-0-0-touch-recovery-t3309504. Currently 3.2.3-0 is the latest stable version for any device at twrp.me official site.

Other compatible TWRPs from @dianlujitao (found here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=114749) are older or for testing (beta), 3.2.3-0 currently being the latest stable version from Team Win.

What happened when you tried to flash latest directly from TWRP? PW.

Bro your tip worked as charm i could able to flash TWRP_3.2.3-0_O_cherry.img from old twrp, which was linked in the starting if the thread (sorry just started to use xda and i am poor in forum jargons)
i used to get errors when i try from computer fastboot, but following your advice yielded result. ill reframe what i done yesterday.
Initially i backed up all the existing rom system data through twrp, done a format, wiped everything in advance and rebooted to twrp again, now the phone is clean with only bootloader and existing recovery which is 3.0.0 in my case as i mentioned earlier, i tried installing lasted version of lineage 15 for che1-che-10 dated September version as you mentioned in before, but got an error, for a fail safe i also downloaded cherry version of lineage 15, september version. but same error code 7, so as per your advise the problem is with the old twrp which cant install lineage 15 but no problem with lineage 14. i flashed the new TWRP_3.2.3-0_O_cherry.img from twrp itself with image flash option. and voila it flashed without any problems and then i proceeded with os installation che1-che10 but returned an error but i could able to install Cherry version normally. so the problem is fixed once for all. thanks a lot for the guidance and support Bro and Masoud. now my Che1-L04 honor 4x india flipkart is on lineage 15 cherry version. hope i have mentioned everything and this helps other users as well.

Initial use of lineage OS 15 on Honor 4x che1-l04, first boot took some time around 4 mins, and subsequent boots time reduced to 1 to 2 mins, very smooth and fast for snap dragon 4xx. the battery back-up is awesome 4 hrs on standby only 2 percent. 4G LTE working, WiFi super fast. ill update other findings.

Well done - knew you'd get there.

Most needed files and instructions are generally found in the OP (Opening Post) as you have found.

i used to get errors when i try from computer fastboot, but following your advice yielded result.

Not sure why ADB seemed unable to find .img file, but now you can swap recoveries easily from phone if needed.

Glad you backed up. Make sure you backup all critical partitions before further modding. As you are new to custom ROMs, please read importance of this (and when you may need backup / need to store off device - especially if using adoptive storage) here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-lenovo-tab3-8-tb3-850f-t3559786/page26 post# 252. (I was referring to a Mediatek device here, but same principles apply.)

In 'TWRP_3.2.3-0_O_cherry.img' the O is for Oreo. Older versions can only flash up to N (without special editing), and @dianlujitao's have N in filename for this reason.

Again, this is clear if you read the OP. It says under Download:
Che1-CL10: che10
Others: cherry
You have Che1-L04 (India/Flipkart), not Che1-CL10 (China/Telecom), so must use 'Others', = cherry unified version, not che10.

- Che1-CL10 (China/Telecom) has a separate ROM as it has hardware differences. Eg. It has a different NFC chip (presumably Chinese). 'Others' use a Qualcomm chip.

Before you Flash your phone with the newest TWRP please delete all your data, Format internal ROM.Then Flash the newest Lineage 15.1 it should work. I also have G620S-L01 and everything works fine and even no re-boots even when loosing reception of Network.

That sounds positive !!! With Lineage 14.1 I had sometimes re-boots especially when loosing Mobile Provider network connection. I am astonished that with Lineage 15.1 it's solved. What is not solved until now, and it is the only bug, loading the battery goes to 99 % or 98 % and not 100 %. It is present since I flashed Cyanogenmod and later Lineage. Maybe it's easy for a programmer to solve this, but nobody cares until now.

G620S-L01 Battery drain Lineage os 15.1

I installed latest build of lineage os 15.1 and as I said before it has battery drain
for example

I think lineage 15.1 has CPU management problem I guess

I don't have this problem. Power minus 4 % it takes 4 or 5 hours. Now I have 18 % after normal use 1 day and 8 hours with little YouTube and internet usage. Using G620S-L01.

after your advice and other attempts I checked the microsd with chkflash and was found to be faulty, so the problem was solved with the purchase of a new microsd

I was able to install LOS 15.1 without any error on my Che1-L04. But when I go to settings, I am not able to see IMEI numbers. Anyone else faced any similar issue??

By default Oreo does not show the imei in the settings.

Have you tried opera browser ? Seems ok.
