Yes, all is OK. As XDA article says, Lineage team recently decided to do nightly build updates for LOS 15.1 and that's what those on official builds, like you, are now getting. (14.1 users are now only getting monthly updates mainly providing up to date security patches.) Regards, PW

Is there any work for G7-L01 or not? Because of the unofficial port we won't get any 14.1 update nor 15.1 but we need an update 14.1 or 15.1.
Is that G760? Not sure how it works for G7 device. (Do you install official cherry 14.1 and adaptation patch?)
Seems we are still getting official cherry 14.1 on a monthly basis. 15.1 is nightly (See my first post on this page), so you may be able to install 14.1 updates with adaptation patch when posted, but I'm guessing if you blink you'll miss them as ROMs seem to be up only a few days now because of nightly 15.1 updates. I'm guessing you'll see them pop up for the same few days each month so keep checking, but I'm not sure of this.
Seems there is no G7 adaptation patch for 15.1 as yet as you know (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-g7/development/lineage-os-oficial-14-1-cherry-g760-t3648207) and @desalesouche said G7 15.1 is a WIP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-g7/development/rom-t3548801).

- read messages keep appearing unread (bold), I have to go back to index then back to the thread so they appear read
- two text messages from the same number appear in two different threads.

So seems like my device model is not recognized for some reason.
Only solution I found is to manually edit config file inside update but that is tedious to do eveyr time. Any other solution?

It could be your recovery, are you sure you have a compatible version? Like the one in the first post
I had the same problem but it was my recovery that wasn't compatible with oreo

No. This is for original Huawei Honor 4x Che1 (Cherry) series phones (L01 etc) and other Huawei models with Snapdragon 410 processor (MSM8916), and NOT for Huawei Honor 4x Che2 (known alternatively sometimses as Cherry also [which causes confusion] or more correctly as CherryPlus) series phones (L11 etc) sporting HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor. @dianlujitao develops for che1 series cherry devices.
There are a number of custom ROM threads on XDA for Cherry 2 / CherryPlus devices, so suggest searching for 'Honor 4x Che2', 'Honor 4x kirin', 'Honor 4x CherryPlus' etc. Hope it helps, PW

I don't see any big difference. But my feeling, it's getting always a little better with standby with newer android versions on this phone (G620S-L01)
Apparently the latest update deleted Google play services, tried installing from APK mirror and got this
