For everyone with Oneplus 3T with data partition not mounting in TWRP:

* official TWRP does not work
* Blu spark does not work

This version works perfectly: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75372651&postcount=117

For those still considering upgrading their Oneplus3 to 15.1 (from 14.1):
I just (finally) did the upgrade and everything works fine.

Method (dirty flashing - not recommended):
I already had the latest TWRP from here: https://dl.twrp.me/oneplus3/

I used TWRP Manager to flash the following 4 packages all at once + Wipe Dalvik + Wipe Cache:
1) Beta 31 firmware+modem from here: https://jamal2367.com/downloads/?dir=OnePlus 3/Firmware + Modems/Android 8.0.0/Open Beta
2) ROM linked on page #1
3) OpenGapps from http://opengapps.org/ (ARM64 - 8.1 - Nano)
4) https://download.lineageos.org/extras (addonsu-14.1-arm64-signed.zip) - I do not know if this had any effect - but I had root after flashing.

Afterwards I flashed (using Flashify) the TWRP version from the post above and I was able to mount DATA in TWRP :)

Phone rebooted - everything works fine.
Only thing is that charging does not always report "Fast Charging" - but sometimes it does - I cant not figure out why - but I can live with it if the alternative is a clean install.

Night light not working for me. Nothing happends when turned on or changing intensity. Did a update through updater.

Edit: Don't know where I found that setting, but now I can't find it again.

You can use CyanDelta for faster update downloads in the future. It is not showing its real magic this times(probably because of big changes between builds) but downloads files faster for me. It reached 70+mbps over my 4G connection.

In the latest build there was a commit to move the power menu to the left side of the screen if the power button is at the left. On the oneplus 3 the power button is at the right but I hold my phone in my left hand a lot. I was wondering if there is a file somewhere in the root folders that I can edit to trick it into thinking the button is on the left, thus moving the menu to the left. TIA

So far so good for me. I clean flashed today's build and used a gapps-config file for the first time, neat as heck. Anyways I did notice one thing: the toggle to record the location a picture was taken at doesn't stick. I have given the Snap camera the Location Permission but as soon as I leave the settings panel the setting reverts. Looking at the info of pictures taken there is no location data. Is this common or is it just me? My gapps-config file only had 4 entries to exclude: google camera, google now launcher, pixel launcher, and pixel icons. I used the stock Gapps package that was available this morning (8.1/Arm64) and I also flashed Magisk v16. Nothing else was done. Any ideas? This is by no means a deal breaker, just something I'm curious about.

I was on stock Oreo and there was no issue with Dash charging. Once I installed Lineage nightly, I am observing this. I don't think there is a hardware issue. I am currently on LineageOS Version 15.1-20180305-NIGHTLY-oneplus3
I am not sure if there is an issue with this nightly specifically?
Which build are you on?

I'm on a self build with commits since 3/10/18

Everything still working fine for me on latest. Nice new option for Button Backlight only when buttons are pressed. Rear video in Snap seems fixed.

VPN warning in Notification Shade still opaque and sticks out like a sore thumb.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Is it possible for Project Treble to be implemented? I was thinking of using the extra space from /bt_firmware (1GB) for /vendor. Thanks.

Sent from my OnePlus 3T using XDA Labs

OnePlus is evaluating official treblized Oreo, now the key problem for them is how to make Treble migration through OTA, according to their engineers. We have a 1.5G unused partition which can be used as /vendor. I don't know if they'll eventually make the change, but as they have positive progress on that, personally I suggest not to do 3rd party experiments in case breaking compatibility with the (possible) incoming official Treble builds.
deep sleep issue will be fixed in the next weekly
New build is up. What you care most, video recording is fixed.
Oneplus already said they wont suport treble for oneplus 3 https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/join-our-oneplus-5t-ama-now.686679/page-9#post-17146313

so why not develop 3rd party suport for treble?

    You have 2017 news, I have 2018 news:p

btw full treble is impossible with the current camera driver, see https://github.com/LineageOS/androi...mmit/030ee5d902fdbabd85d827a8598a3fb7fe37fc7f for ref
