Does anybody have a change log for last version update (17.11.2020)? Also, the security version looks a little bit outdated (August). Any chance to have some update on that?

The update was only to update microg. Nothing else. All Omni Rom dev work is currently happening on Android 11.

What am I doing wrong?

I have the stock oxygen OS and trying to get to omni but fails to boot after flashing

Step 1: fastboot flash stock 10.3.6 image
Step 2: Boot, do not configure any security, no face lock, no finger print, no pin, no google account.
Step 3: Enable developer option, enable usb debugging, boot to bootloader.
Step 4: fastboot boot twrp.img
Step 5: flash omnirom.zip
Step 6: reboot bootloader
Step 7: fastboot boot twrp.img
Step 8: in twrp flash twrp recovery ramdisk
Step 9: Wipe (swipe for perform factory reset)
Step 10 reboot

I have tried the variation

Step 1: fastboot flash stock 10.3.6 image
Step 2: Boot, do not configure any security, no face lock, no finger print, no pin, no google account.
Step 3: Enable developer option, enable usb debugging, boot to bootloader.
Step 4: fastboot boot twrp.img
Step 5: flash TWRP
Step 6: reboot recovery
Step 7: flash omni
Step 8: reboot to bootloader
step 9: repeat step 4 & 5
Step 9: Wipe (swipe for perform factory reset)
Step 10 reboot

After flashing and before boot system, you need to 'format data'. This is the option in TWRP where you type 'yes' to agree to 'format data'. It will erase your internal storage.
