"Before following these instructions please ensure that the device is currently using Android 12 firmware.
If the vendor provided multiple updates for that version, e.g. security updates, make sure you are on the latest!"

It said the latest, so I updated to the latest. Not sure if this is allowed, but I'll pay you money to help me get this fixed.

Brother, most rom are using based firmware C.48 as there latest not C.61. These instrucations are made way before C.61 was released.
I am going to be honest with you I have installed LOS 19.1 rom on IND model with C.60 last month with no problems, however, LOS rom is based on C.48 has there firmware.
Many developers haven't updated to C.61 yet. Even I am using C.48 now, and installed riceDroid rom with blu-spark kernel.
But bro, keep in mind one thing, none of the roms are stable. You are missing features like Dolby Atoms, OOS camera, Dynamic refresh rate, screen resolution change (except in Nameless).
I have used all the rom but again they are not stable compare to stock rom unfortunately, but keep your finger cross for updates to fix bugs and adding features.

If I can get it back working should I root but stay on stock ROM then??

It depends what is your requirement, if you want performance and speed, bit of smoothness then go for custom rom. If you want OOS camera and more stability then stay with stock rooted.
You can try this magisk module, on stock rom it will give some performance boost and use titanium backup to disable some useless app and bloatware from Oneplus on OOS12. This what I do normal when I am stock.

Well, its not going to matter if I can't get out of fastboot mode. I got it into EDL at one point, got a sahara error in msm, and now back in fastboot. Been trying for awhile now to get back into edl but it keeps going into fastboot :/

EDIT: OMG yes it went into EDL mode and looks like its working. I am so frigin happy

I know MSM is pain in the a**, try using different model MSM like IND.
Remember, make sure you have strong cable and use USB2.0 on computer to transfer data from MSM tool or even your computer to your phone.
I even had this problem few times with MSM tool, I literally got so angry wanted to through my phone on the wall. But lucky I got it working.

I'm on latest LOS on C.61 without any problems

why did the author tell us to be on 11.2.10.10 then if it was supposed to be c.48 firmware to run? im currently in crashdump mode i feel like i wasted my time. just to clear it up once and for all, should i be on c.48 or 11.2.10.10?

Be on C.48 on both slots before proceeding with all the steps.

Hello, I am using Android 11 version. Do I have to upgrade to android 12 to use this version?
2. Does the Dolby sound system work?
3. Is the stock camera program used as the camera program?
4. Can I post a close story on my iphone while posting a story on Instagram?
Many thanks for your hard work.

Can anyone help me out. I was having issue installing the latest update as anytime it completed, my phone would no longer boot.
I was informed that i would need to do the copy partition to have my active slot copy the non active one.
I did that and i tried the update again and now my phone no longer boots in either slot.
I have tried going into MSM but its not detecting my device is in EDL mode ( but device manager is reporting that it is and using COM5.
Ive tried both Lineage recovery and Nameless, formatted and also tried to install both Lineage OS and Nameless and it just will no longer boot. and at one point my phone gave a Qualcomm debug error

I do have driver signature disabled in windows
Even trying adb reboot edl just gives a status closed
I have managed to get the com port to show in MSM, but it shows COM7 now and i use COM6, but it will never connect the device

Im trying to redo Nameless 22-05-05, but recovery is reporting that 22-06-05 is still installed even after formatting the device

4 HOURS of fighting with MSM and it just decided it wants to work.
im done with this disaster

Instead of using the copy-partition file to have latest OxygenOS on both slots it is safer(less likely to run into them problem u did) to just local update to c48(or whichever ur on) and then local update same OTA again to have matching OS on both slots b4 flashing rom..

There seems to be a bug with fast charging. Fast charging only works for sometime and then drops to 500mA. It's really annoying.

    I am confused...
On the first page it says you have to be on Android 11 to flash this.
On the last page it says you have to be on Android 12 to flash this.

Is this because of updates? ...if so can I still get the older Android 11 version somewhere as I don't like a lot about 12, and I don't want to MSM again if I don't have to.

Lastly, can someone please confirm that this ROM does have the pixel's "copy-from-recents" feature (Google Lens in Recents to copy text even when the app won't let you copy, or even in photos). That is the one killer-feature I need and cannot find, and someone told me this ROM had it. I tried a few other ROMs that did not have it, so I am back on stock OOS11 for now (also doesn't have it of course, but I'd rather run stock unless I can get that feature only with a ROM).

If Nameless had the feature and is available as Android 11, I will flash it asap (if it has it and is 12 only, I will try to get to it in a week or so after I make sure I can restore easily if I still just can't justify dealing with 12 even for the feature I so desperately want)

    Thanks.
Make sure you are on the latest version of OxygenOS 12 if you follow what i told you

I Updated to C.48, so what do I do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'll walk you through it, the instructions have been so confusing for me but I finally got it working

    -Unlock your bootloader
-When you reboot, skip through setup, enable developer options again and re-enable USB debugging
-Boot into fastboot/bootloader (adb reboot bootloader)

From here, you need to download 5 files
    • dtbo.img
    • vendor_boot.img
    • boot.img
    • latest version of nameless rom
    • copy-partitions-20210323_1922.zip
dtbo.img and vendor_boot.img are found HERE
boot.img and nameless rom are found on the download link in the main post, HERE if you're lazy
    copy partitions zip is found
    HERE

-In fastboot, type these in order
    fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
    fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
    fastboot flash boot boot.img

Obviously, if the img files aren't in the root adb.exe folder, then you put the path to the file
    E.g - fastboot flash dtbo C:\Users\lol\Desktop\dtbo.img

At this point you've flashed the nameless recovery, and you're still in fastboot. Now you need to boot into the recovery.

-Press the volume down button twice so it says "recovery mode" at the top, then press the power button. You're now booting into the recovery.
-In the recovery, select "Apply Update", then "Apply from ADB"
-On your PC, type in 'adb sideload copy-partitions-20210323_1922.zip' (Or whatever you've named the copy-partitions zip)

This is a script that will copy everything from the current slot into the inactive slot. You NEED to do this if you haven't flashed your OOS update twice. Might as well do it anyway just in case.

-After it's done, click the back button on the top left and get back to the main screen
-Click advanced, then reboot to recovery
-Once it reboots into recovery again, click factory reset and follow the instructions
-When you've factory reset, go back to the main screen again, and go to "Apply Update", then "Apply from ADB" again like you did before
-Type 'adb sideload nameless.zip' (nameless.zip being the rom, type whatever you've called it, and yes you can rename the zip files for ease)
    -Reboot
    -Enjoy

    NOTE:
If you use windows powershell, you might get a 'cannot read' error when flashing the rom
    Try using command prompt instead

When you flash, it might appear as if it's frozen (it was stuck at 47% for me), don't touch it, just leave it and it will install just fine.

If no devices are showing up in fastboot, use this tutorial HERE
