Now i looked for system updates, found the last version from 22-may, download it, installed and. Hit reboot and now im stuck in Fastboot mode. No matter what option i choose it keeps going into fastboot. What am i missing here....

this should fix it
I was encountering an extremely strange bug. My phone locked to the lock screen, and then kept flashing it - screen off, lockscreen, screen off, lockscreen. Except on the lockscreen, the clock was missing. All it showed was a lock button where the fingerprint sensor is, and a solid white back button on the bottom left. I couldn't unlock or press anything. I was able to take a screenshot while it was happening.
I plugged my phone in to my computer (USB debugging enabled) and it started again. But then after a while it stopped. Just switched to nameless launcher from pixel launcher hoping it will resolve the issue.
anyone else run into this? any fix? I'm on the latest OTA patch. OP8T
UPDATE: happening on nameless launcher too. Anyway to fix without factory resetting would be great.
Yep, now I know it's working and have confidence in the rom I'm happy to stay. It's weird and intermittent and will usually "settle down" on its own. Even stranger, sometimes the wrong icon will appear, ie: I'll get VoLTE when I'm on WiFi calling and (tho not nearly as often) vice-versa. I suspect it's something do to with processing the update events directed at the status bar. It's just a cosmetic / low priority thing, tho, because you're right - VoWiFi and VoLTE both work as they should. Not enough to make me want to go back to stock and lose root, for sure!
Go head. No issues on 8T
Download recovery.img in download link Reboot phone to bootloader Open any terminal like cmd etc, enter "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" Reboot phone to recovery and enter sideload mode Enter "adb sideload xxx" (xxx means the filename of rom zip you downloaded) Do factory reset in recovery (Mandatory for first time flash) Reboot You can also use rom installer to flash the way you did before. For root: Download Magisk apk Rename it to *.zip Reboot to recovery and enter sideload mode Enter "adb sideload xxx.zip" (xxx means magisk file name) You can also patch boot.img and flash via fastboot.
