I currently have Android 7.1 Nougat lineage-14.1-20190519-UNOFFICIAL-potter.zip (Baseband V M8953_02.03.07.06e) and twrp-3.3.1-0-potter.img
I finally would like to merge to a more current Android OS ROM supporting microG and very well Camera (Picture & Video).
As OP says "ROM Firmware Required: Android 8.1" what is the best tutorial to go to Android 8.1 Oreo and then flash Havoc-OS-v3.1 after Wiping data, Cache & Dalvik and system?

Can anyone confirm Signature Spoofing setting is directly supported and allows the simple installation of the MicroG Apps?
If possible I would like to have a current GCam build only with MicroG?
Does any potter ROM without GApps (but maybe with MicroG) work well with a current GCam build (for potter)?

Hey...there is no option of software update in the latest version. Is it a bug. Can you please look into it.

Not sure about Signature Spoofing, sorry.
However, if you would like access to HavocOS and Google Apps.

I would suggest:
1. Update to the latest TWRP (if you want)
Or I would also recommend SHRP 2.1 (built in Magisk Manager)
2. Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik / ART Cache and System
If you want to wipe everything, including apps
3. Flash the latest Oreo Firmware build
This will allow for NFC and Fingerprints to work
4. Flash HavocOS 3.1 (latest)
5. Flash Google Apps
I would recommend the latest from OpenGapps for ARM64 / Android 10

Reboot to Android

6. Flash Magisk (latest - 20.3)
This is not necessary but if you would like root. Then use latest Magisk

If you cannot find links to files that you want.

The amount of customization available is more than enough for me but hey, the more the merrier!

Why is there a default dialer, messages and browser app after installing Gapps? I would just like to have the ones in Google Play store instead.

its really nice to know that even though motorola stopped updates for g5 plus , you guys are doing great job by porting it. its what keeping my phone still alive. now that android 10 has been released, i wanted to know when will you release rom with magisk support. thank you

Magisk is supported.
Currently I'm using Magisk v20.3
No issues at all, give it a flash.

You can always change the default apps and disable / manually uninstall them.

Some Gapps don't always replace these, either try a different Gapps or use method above.

I use "potter-twrp-flashable-OPSS28.85-17-6-aroma.zip" on my XT1684 and all is working here.
However, a more recent build with a newer security patch is out. (OPSS28.85-17-6-2).
All should work on any device if I have read the thread correct.

Clean flash is always recommended but you can do dirty flash as well. Don't report bugs if you do dirty flash.

Hello, which Google Apps do you use?

If you use OpenGapps, or other. Let me know which package you use.

Voice Match is working fine for me, I'm on the Early February patch,
with OpenGapps Nano (gives me Digital Wellbeing).

There's two methods. Personally I use method 2 and it works just fine with the least hassle.

Method 1 - Dirty Flash (No Data Loss):
Wipe: System, Cache & Dalvik ART / Cache
Flash: Update (HavocOS), Google Apps (Gapps)
Flash: Other Modifications - Custom Kernel, Magisk etc.
- This will keep your apps, data and installed Magisk modules

Method 2 - Dirty Flash (No Data Loss):
Wipe: Cache & Dalvik ART / Cache
Flash: Update (HavocOS) + Custom Kernel [Not Magisk, Magisk will install itself again]
Good To Go

I don't have Viper4android, but magisk modules was working fine. I dirty flashed latest build and FM radio is broken again. Could it be due to SE Enforcing? I had no issues with FM on Havoc until now.
