Just installed the new v12.7 build but still have the problem that the bluetooth audio doesn't work for me.
My bluetooth headphone are being connected and I can see the battery percentage when im in the bluetooth settings but when I start playing music it still palys on the loud speaker of the phone.
The audio device selector tells me that the audio should come from my bluetooth headphones but even when i change between "This device" and my bluetooth headphones nothing changes.
Here my log: https://hastebin.com/tebaqayalo.makefile

What I did:
- Started recording log
- Connected my bluetooth headphone (WH-1000XM3)
- Switched to spotify and started playing a song
- Tried to manually switch audio output devices from my bluetooth headphones to "This device" and back (which didn't do anything)
- Stopped recording

And yes, my bluetooth headphones work when connecting to another device (my PC)^

UPDATE:
I just checked if calling works - and it does (Sound through headset and microphone from headset working)
So therefore the only thing not working is "HD Audio" when playing music. Any idea?

UPDATE 2:
I just tested the bluetooth functionality with my car and it works there perfectly.
therefore it has to be something with the codec that the Sony WH-1000XM3 are using I guess.

I also get random "crashes" for the cellular connection (e.g. someone calls me and 1-2 seconds later the signal is gone and therefore the call is being canceled)
Does this whole situtation lead to a problem with dem modem? should i reflash the modem probably?
Have you tried it with another audio app. Does it work in Youtube?

I have the same headphones, just tried spotify and youtube and it's working just fine.
I have not yet updated to latest build, if that's different for you.
Also, try installing the Sony headphones app and register the headphones from there. Might help. If you've done that, then perhaps a clean flash might help

I tried many different apps which output audio, but none were working for me with the headphones.
Registering my headphones in the sony app didn't change anything as well.
I will try a "clean flash", but just so I am correct:

  • Wipe System, Data and Dalvik Cache
  • Flash OOS 10.3.3 + TWRP installer and reboot to Recovery (Slot A)
  • Flash OOS 10.3.3 + TWRP installer and reboot to Recovery (Slot B)
  • Flash Bliss.zip
  • Wipe Dalvik
  • Go to Wipe and swipe to Factory Reset.
  • Go to Wipe and select Format Data and type YES (it will wipe all of your apps, pictures, media.....)
  • Reboot to Recovery
  • Flash Magisk.zip
  • Reboot to system

Thats correct, or not?

I guess my problems come from having this ROM on my device before, not the default OOS

I just gave up on trying to get this to work.
I returned to default OOS 10.3.3 + Magisk and everything works fine there.
It seems like im just to stupid for this.

Have you tried a different Bluetooth device to see if that works?

The bluetooth headphones worked without a problem with my PC.
My Phone (with BlissRom) worked without a problem with my cars bluetooth radio.
The only difference I could see was the Audio Codec that my Headphones are using.
I just noticed that now with the default OOS 10.3.3 the headphones use "LDAC" as the codec, but when I was with the BlissRom I believe it said "Qualcomm aptX".
I dont now the specific variant of aptX any more but that was definitely what was shown to me when I connected my Headphone with the phone.

The codec shouldn't really matter (in this case just so the audio can play, codecs can effect the quality though) since these headphones support all codecs - SBC, AAC, LDAC, Aptx, Aptx HD. Also the codec can show differently when playing vs just connected.

In the headphones app, there is a setting where you can choose sound quality and stable connection. (see attached)
I've run into a couple of situations when audio would not play through the headphones if sound quality was selected. Changing to stable connection would fix that.

Try flashing to both slots the same way you flash OOS after you flash OOS, also try format data before flashing bliss, also try to make sure that you're on slot a before final boot or flashing magisk

Try flashing to both slots the same way you flash OOS after you flash OOS, also try format data before flashing bliss, also try to make sure that you're on slot a before final boot or flashing magisk

So the "save" steps to flash are:
  1. Reboot to TWRP (Should be Slot A)
  2. Wipe System, Data and Dalvik Cache
  3. Flash OOS 10.3.3 + TWRP installer and reboot to Recovery (Slot A)
  4. Flash OOS 10.3.3 + TWRP installer and reboot to Recovery (Slot B)
  5. Go to Wipe and select Format Data and type YES
  6. Reboot to Recovery and select Slot A
  7. Flash Bliss.zip and reboot to Recovery (Slot A)
  8. Flash Bliss.zip (Slot B)
  9. Wipe Dalvik
  10. Go to Wipe and swipe to Factory Reset.
  11. Reboot to Recovery and select Slot A (if not already active)
  12. Flash Magisk.zip
  13. Reboot to system

I dont know if I will try these steps but someone can test these of course.
But if these are actually the recommended steps to flash a custom ROM it would be awesome if these steps can be transfered to the installation instructions.
Sure someone who has already flashed several ROMs is used to these steps, but I haven't flashed Custom ROMs in years (and of course not with an A/B System)
I just found this ROM by searching through the XDA Forum and thought the given Installation guide was enough... which obviously is not.

Reboot to TWRP (Should be Slot A)
Flash OOS 10.3.3 + TWRP installer and reboot to Recovery while on slot A
Flash OOS 10.3.3 + TWRP installer
Reboot to recovery to return to slot A
Go to Wipe and select Format Data and type YES
Flash Bliss.zip + TWRP installer (Slot A)
Reboot to recovery and you'll now be on slot B
Flash Bliss.zip + TWRP installer (Slot B)
Reboot to recovery and you'll now be on slot A
Flash Magisk.zip
Reboot to system

Follow these steps
You don't have to manually change the slot, the recovery will do that after you flash the recovery installer and reboot to recovery
You also do not have to wipe system before flashing OOS just format data after flashing both slots while on slot A before flashing the rom.
Most roms don't require you to flash both slots but I do anyways and it always works, if you only want to use one slot or the rom asks for one just make sure to use A so you can keep track of the primary.
These steps will also help you flash any other rom but I highly suggest this one for sure after testing many others
