Is anyone having issues with sms when upgrading to lineage-20.0-20230322-nightly-redfin-signed.zip? I can only text one person, but nobody else. I have tried a factory reset and installing fresh as well but texting still doesn't work for me. I downgrade to the lineage-20.0-20230315-nightly-redfin-signed.zip and texting works fine again. I have tried google messaging and multiple other apps, even deleted their data and installed the app fresh.

use fastboot and flash the prior version of boot.img and vendor_boot.img and you should be able to go backwards...I would do a clean install of it though. I am on redfin though, i don't know about your specific model.
Perfect, thank you. I’m gonna give it til next week and see if the new one fixes my problem. It’s not my main phone so it’s not a huge deal.

I am just learning about lineageOS now. Sorry for being such a noob, but I'm just looking for better battery life, the ability to install apps that are region locked (not available in my country) and no bloatware/spyware. Does it provide all of these?
I have a Pixel 5.

Have you tried the latest build?
I went back to stock and the same thing happened with the March stock update. When I downgraded to the February stock image, it worked fine. So I believe it is not necessarily a LineageOS issue, but a byproduct of the March system update. I see the April stock update just came out so I will try that to see if SMS is fixed.

Do you happen to be using T-Mobile? There have been tons of issues with data and T-Mobile. I use mine as a secondary phone and switched to a Verizon carrier because of all of the issues.

Is it worth changing from stock to LOS for battery life?
Optimized (night) charging available in Los?
Battery life is about the same (as is expected, no ROM will ever increase your SOT drastically).

Optimized night charging is not available here.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. LineageOS does still include various proprietary hardware-specific code.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Informations :
    • This ROM uses source built kernel, kernel modules, boot kernel modules (vendor_boot) and vendor image.
    • This ROM bundles the latest firmware so you don't have to worry about updating firmware.
    • To use the eSIM you need to install GApps
    Instructions :

    Reporting Bugs
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/* (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved.

    New build out
The final checkups before official rolls out.
We've also managed to remove the need for flashing vendor_boot.img so now the install instructions are back in line with other pixels.
    11
    New build out
Enable Adaptive Sound, Live Captions, Now Playing, Screen Attention pixel features.
These all work without gapps, and all process data offline.

    New build out
    • Feb 2021 security patch
    • Update modem firmware from the T-Mobile factory images to enable 5G Standalone.
Google only did this for T-Mobile images (RQ1C.210205.006), but it doesn't seem to negatively affect non T-Mobile users, thus I'm including it in the generic build (RQ1A.210205.004 based).
