If i correctly remember, i had once "can't connect to camera" message on RR at first flash, but i don't remember how i resolved. Try with setting up microsd on new rom reboot and open camera, or simply pull of sd card at first boot.
If camera worked for me, can't don't work for you.

I don't have an SDCard in the phone right now, but I've got one lying around, I'll test and see if it works.

Camera app opens, if I tap to focus, the flash turns on like it normally would if I was focusing, but the camera screen is still black.

I rebooted twice and the camera sprung back to life. Works fine now.

SafetyNet fails with MagiskHide enabled.

Shame, hope this feature comes in the future I was about to get a Netflix sub when I realized i may not even be able to stream on my device.

Temporary camera fix

Tried lot of thing for fix the black screen in camera app (and all app that uses camera).

Finall it's works fine. Just need to reflash the rom in recovery (without wipe anything ) AND WITHOUT re-flash Magisk (temporary until a fix or the next build ?)

I think this issue need to be reported in order to be corrected in a few build

If can be usefull or no, i really suggest to change governor settings with the following parameters.
In cooked Nougat ROMs for z3, system is quite laggy (menù, light games) and in RR its a bit better but still laggy.
These parameters come from existenz ROM with Android MM, and are probably the same of stock MM firmware: run with 0 lag, power saving and maximum performance. Give it a try (kernel auditor on screenshot).
If thry're not the same of stock MM firmware, i really suggest to utilize stock firmware governor settings, that are probably the best for this device.

Ill add some linaro flags and try different kernel toolchains when I get the chance.

Google caught onto magisk 12.0. You can also try just switching to core mode on v12, but you won't be able to use magsik modules.

I noticed that there is an interesting battery drain when phone is in idle. Ironically, "Inactive phone" process (how battery stats call it) consume more than my screen on in mA. Lol.

It seems the BT calling bug from LineageOS is on this ROM too, a drive issue perhaps? I didn't have this problem during my test trial of CarbonROM, and if it helps, I can post my logcats from Lineage as I can't seem to get logcats recorded with logcat extreme on this rom.
