RR on Oreo was a smooth stable highly customizable rom. But if we want to get the monthly security updates we need to move on to a custom pie rom.

Yeah I've tried a few and all seem stable and have some good features already...u should give it a try ??

Changing Theme w/ Tasker

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the theme/style from light to dark or vice versa using Tasker or a similar app? Is there a shell command that can be run in order to update the theme and have it take effect? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have rr source on my machine any more. May be best to just use flash kernel then.

i'm new user using pixel 2 xl and happy with it, i want to try RR rom but i have a question
is it the camera quality as good as stock rom..?

Again AOD not responsive while unlocking with fingerprint. All other stuff works great but this is really big issue for me becouse I have to restart the phone to work again...

My friend let me mess with his moto x play (tx1563) and now I don't want to give it back.
This is amazing work.
I have a Samsung so had no idea about locked bootloaders and assumed there were plenty of sites with firmware. Oops. But!
After a flawless install with I think pica gapps... smallest one... I see no reason to ever want what seemed like 30 useless Motorola apps.
Put magisk on and did a nandroid. It's better than my phone now. :(

hey guys new to the pixel 2xl and would like to ask how i could flash the recommended stock oreo rom before flashing rr.

oreo 8.1 OPM2.171019.029 April 2018 < after i get this up in my pixel do i need any other files flashed? e.g vendor/bootloader etc. or will they be included in the stock rom id install.

thanks in advance (i have not even rooted the phone yet) but excited to try out rr.

Is anyone having slow fingerprint unlock? Mine is like 2 sec unlock and i just clean installed

    -INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS-

    This rom is based on the stock oreo 8.1 OPM2.171019.029 April 2018 rom from Google. The instructions below assume your device is already on that rom. This is important because your device needs to have the vendor, radio, bootloader, and other img's from that rom. So, if you need to, flash the OPM2.171019.029 stock rom first. If coming from previous RR build simply follow instructions.

    Taimen factory images​


    Both TWRP 3.2.0-0 and TWRP 3.2.1-2 have been confirmed working.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Twrp version 3.2.0-0 can't decrypt data if it's secured with pin, password, etc. So, before you begin go to lockscreen security settings and change it to 'none' or 'swipe'.

    1. boot into twrp and factory reset
    2. flash rom zip
    3. flash twrp zip
    Reboot & enjoy.    ​

    All builds from here on out will be completely Root-less. We have decided as a TEAM its best to let you the users decide what you want on your devices. So if you want/need Root access please flash either Magisk or SU. ​

    Hey guys! Just wanted to pop in and give yas an update. Sry hasnt been a build since "Release" build. Been REALLY busy at work. Anyway, Ive been working hard with the help of @pimpmaneaton to get RR up to date while some of the team is busy with exams and work. Some cool stuff has been added with more on the way. OTA has been fixed also. :D Should have an update out for yas in next couple days. Stay tuned! Thanx for supporting RR!

    Ok guys..sry for the delay. I wanted to wait till we had April patches merged in. Also updated the kernel. This build has some added goodies. OMS now works completely root-less. Some new QS tiles: Google assistant, Google sound search, and Google feed. Pulse Lava lamp start and end colors(BTW the lil circle icon in upper right of that menu page will reset to default). Ambient display battery info at bottom of screen. Square battery icon form OmniRom and a couple more lil things. Also, OTA is fixed. So from here on no need to DL form here. :) Cheers guys. Thanx for supporting RR!!

    I want to take a sec and give a BIG SHOUT OUT to @mac796 who was generous enough to donate a XL2 to the RR team. Until now I have been building for this device blind and sending it to him and a small group of others to test. So expect development and updates to come more frequently now thanx to him!

    I have deleted the RR source on my computer and am now working on a Pie rom. Hope you all have enjoyed what I did with RR.

    OP thread and OTA has been updated with a new build. Sry for delay guys. The reason I havent updated build is nothing really has been added to RR source till now. As stated before whole RR team has been really busy with life stuff. But we've been busy when we get a chance. We managed to merged some new features to RR source. SmartPixels, QS transparency, QS animations and interpolaters, recents grid and lock just to name some. Gapps have been updated too. Google Camera is built in and will update without issue. Google GBoard built in too...to give a more "stock" feel. Wanna give a shout-out to @pimpmaneaton. Cheers and Thanx for supporting RR!!
