Actually if you make a quick alarm for like 1 or 2 minutes it will work very well. But if you make it in the night for the morning then it won't work until you wake up the screen. So i think it's related to some deep sleep on the kernel.
Well bruh. We are not even getting a good amount of deep sleep in few oreo custom roms and here u say its deep sleep issue nah . I dont think i might guess that some tweaking has been . Done in the setting , unknowingly which has lead to this i clean flash might help i guess

I just did a clean flash but still doesn't work. I don't know if it's a deep sleep issue, but it looks like a kernel issue.

Hi I'm using miui 10 bata it's fast I never see any adds in, only in some Xiaomi apps like there theme app that's it.
If there is any lag it's with the full screen gestures but it's not that bad.?.
#justsaying

I said the same MIUI 10 is really smooth just in fullscreen gesture is when you feel some lag if you don't want any lag just don't use it (fullscreen)

oh by the way i am using black box karnel
and i didnt face any bug in this rom
this is the perfect rom for daily uses
i am really happy with this rom :)

You're on the wrong forum this is Vince not whyred

Yes i think it's a kernel issue i hope @blacksuan19 can share his thoughts about this issue.
What's your experience with blackbox kernel so far?
What does kernel has to do with alarms?
Never had any issues with alarms on any rom
Also this device doesn't have black box kernel

No "tweaking" whatsoever

I just did a clean flash but still doesn't work. I don't know if it's a deep sleep issue, but it looks like a kernel issue.

Use a diff kernel and test then
Also we need logs if you expecting something to be fixed

Hey guys, just unlocked my device a few days ago and so far, loving this rom. I just have one "problem", I am experiencing a "dial pad tone" for a second, maybe 5-10 seconds after the start of the boot animation. I mean it's not a huge problem, but maybe this can be easily fixed/is a problem on my side :)

Cheers

Thank you for this lovely Rom.
I've clean flashed : Dots rom,DA kernal and pico gapps
got "pixel setup stopped working" on first start.
Should I reflash ?
Does it has to do with the pico gapps missing something ?
Thank you

P.S. What root works best with this rom ?

Small bug I've found :
When changing status bar weather to "hide weather" I get "System UI has stopped" error

Update : did a new rom flash with stock gapps, got no pixel error (Still got the "System UI stopped" in hide weather)

Hey, after flashing the ROM, you have to flash the latest Dark Ages Kernel or any kernel, if you don't it, the ROM won't boot.

Sure, after it burned the display of some people. Now those people have a broken phone.

Can you trust for things like that to not happen again? A lot of developers here (a lot of them are kids) love to put some new drivers and "cutting edge" kernels without testing it, just to be cool. This will eventually happen again if this goes on. And what is worse is that these so called "official" roms doesn't have anything that makes them more trustworthy than any other rom. These developers put what they want there without researching and testing first.

The "official" branding just tells you that the maintainer will keep updating, but it doesn't have any indication that the code is safe, verified and consistent between all the releases.

I had a Moto G 2015 for a long time, i lost it at a festival these days. I used the official LineageOS from their homepage all these years without a single problem, because they are a trustable source, the code is transparent and they play it safe.

There is a reason why MIUI and other companies don't update to Oreo so fast. They beta test it for a long time. A lot of things goes wrong if you keep pushing forward. And i'm talking about companies with a lot of people.

Now imagine one kid doing this alone, using "alternative" drivers and kernels. It's a recipe for disaster, which we saw in this thread.

First of all Read First post disclaimer again
Am not responsible for whatever happens to you or your phone it's your choice to install the rom or not and whatever happens to you I frankly don't care because I didn't ask or force you to install anything so stop blaming anyone and take responsibility for your actions
Second of all Xiaomi never updates android version because it's not their main focus but rather MIUI other manufactures take time because they have to add their modifications (which I guess someone with a narrow mind like you won't understand) , Google updated their devices and a lot other vendors already so who tf are you to say it's not stable enough?

What you saw in this thread is people who are just ******* imo they can't even take responsibility for their actions and blame us while no one really asked them to install anything

Also who you calling a kid? mdeejay did the upstream and he's a recognized dev, and for myself am sure I have done things you'll never even dream of junior out there trying to write a speech and be smart and **** this is XDA not Facebook
