INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Download ROM
• Backup all important data to an external medium (thumb drive, your PC's hard drive, etc)
• Flash the latest TWRP by following the instructions here: https://twrp.me/google/googlepixel2xl.html
• Flash the latest Taimen vendor image from Google
• Wipe cache, and data. Storage shouldn't need to be wiped.
• Install the ROM ZIP (GAPPS are included in the ROM ZIP!)
• Reboot and enjoy!
• NOTE: You may need to flash TWRP again via fastboot

What they said above. Do you own this device? I appreciate your work & time, but putting in the OP to wipe system is going to screw up people that are new to pixels or other phones with A/B slots.

This is the 2nd new rom in a week with incorrect instructions from the dev/maintainer.

Again, thank you for the time you put into this, not trying to slam devs.

Thread was triple posted due to issues loading when publishing. Please disregard the other threads. I've deleted them from the Dev DB.

Clock centering and resizing aren't supported at the moment. OMS is only supported via root at this time as well.

Yes, I own the device. This project supports multiple devices and the OP came from another device's OP template. I simply forgot to remove the part about wiping system.

I've been working in the Android community for about 6 years now on many notable teams. Not a noob or build bot

All AOSP ROMs, more or less, look the same. Personally, I don't think screenshots are necessary.

We need some more exposure commits but Substratum will work with root. We don't yet have rootless support through their sysserv.

What I mean is if you are rooted will themes apply without reboot?
On DU for example they dont include full OMS commits so reboot is needed.
On NitrogenOS they included all commits so if rooted you can apply theme and restart systemUI without reboot.

It looks like the same build that was originally posted, and hosted on Google Drive. Has the same size and filename, at least (statix_taimen-20190124-1923-9-v2.0-OFFICIAL.zip). @MikeCriggs would have to verify, though.

We're moving to AFH for hosting right now.

If you guys see any builds labeled "NUCLEAR", please don't flash them. They are not signed with our official private keys. They are test builds and cannot be flashed on top of our "OFFICIAL" builds. Doing so will cause your device to not boot. If you would like to know more or want to become a tester, please join our official Telegram community linked in the OP.
