On the 20171017 and 20171018 builds the Settings App is corrupted and my SD Card is reported as corrupted.
Have you done a clean flash?
That should fix the settings app.
No, that is way too much trouble because I have to re-install a couple of hunderd apps and change their settings all over again which I am not going to do every week.
Dirty flashing previous builds has always worked and the 20170928 build works ok, so why wouldn't it work with a newer build?

I'm afraid there is no way around.
Get TitaniumBackup, that will reduce the effort and time a lot.

I have TB but it's still a lot of work.

Why is there just a "What's working"? So what is not working? And does this ROM also work for the 9.7 model?
If everything is working a mention of "What's working" does not make any sense. Especially not why the past builds of this ROM had some stuff not working for the tablet.
Than make an effort to move past that part of OP. You are overanalysing things...

Well, I don't have a T815 ( and I don't really want it ) so my builds won't work on your device.
Since latest update the reboot recovery apps as well as reboot recovery via developers options are not working. My device is T813 and use the most recent twrp for it
How ready is this for daily driver? Is privacy guard already implemented in LineageOS 15?
So make this clear: Is really everything working with this build? Everything the device can offer and all the official Samsung ROM offers? No bugs? No instabilities? No disadvantage to the official ROM? And one last question: Is it faster than the official ROM? For example, I think Samsung added a throttling of the CPU in their ROM, which isn't necessary because the CPU stays always mostly cool enough. Is this throttling removed?
Why don't you just test for yourself and give us detailed report?
Did you never learn to better not say anything if you have nothing to say? Your avatar fits great.
He's right. There are no HW issues so just give it a try. You can always go back to original ROM if you don't like it.
