which rom would you recommend for best battery backup, coz I'm really stuck with battery issue. Sometimes, I simply couldn't get any power/usb point for charging for 2 days coz I work outdoors.

Fully agreed with @kunalchitara:good: and out of above mentioned roms, Lineageos 13 has better battery performance and if you want to use nougat then OctOS and AOKP same performance (but OctOS has slighty better than AOKP)

currently m on stock rom marshmallow latest build 1998, & i want to flash this rom, so do i need to unlock bootloader or can i directly flash it via twrp? & one more question, is it compulsory to root phone , if we want to install any custom rom?

Yeah for flashing custom roms and kernels ,you need to unlock your device's bootloader as well as rooted device

U need to just flash custom recovery like twrp and unlocked bootloader

using the rom from the morning ... didn't face any fc .. everything works .. gestures work

battery still testing
100-20% will provide sot later

didn't check that bro
phone is super smooth lag free no fc

didn't bother to check free ram and such ...
flashed it and using normally

its a good rom with substratum
lineage os without any themes gave 100-20% sot of 5hours
oct-os with substratum theme gave 100-15% sot of 5hours
