Is the CM development dead on Nexus 9? Haven't seen new nightly builds for 12.0 and no news on 12.1.

Yes official nightly builds started today, ending cm-12.0 builds at the same time. If a stable build is going to happen in 12.0 I'll set it up, though.
In other news, those who have modified their vendor partition with any "fix" for the 'internal error' bug will have problems with this nightly. To get around this error, flash the latest firmware from Google.

I have been on CM 12 since I bought the tablet. I would like to switch to 12.1. Looks like I need new firmware and I would also like to not be encrypted anymore.
Can somebody please post some brief instructions for accomplishing this? I have been running custom roms on my devices for years, so I am fairly comfortable with fastboot, but I am far from an expert. Tablet is unlocked, ADB and fastboot work properly.

To disable encryption, flash a kernel with this disabled and fully wipe userdata. To flash the firmware download the image from Google. Then put the fastboot and adb binaries and dlls into the extracted directories (use 7zip for extraction). Use flash-all.bat for the flashing of stock firmware. Then fastboot recovery back on, and flash the 12.1 zip.
Be sure that you get the stock firmware before updating the rom. Else, your device may become a paperweight. Also I don't officially support unencrypt mods, so I'll leave you to find the appropriate kernel

Wipe everything again, including data and system, and flash cm 12.1 again. Then make sure you flash a 64bit gapps

I have not had any issues with this rom. Did a full wipe and flashed over an unofficial version. Can't remember if I flashed the vendor fix zip. But I am not having any crashes or force closes.

Everything working well for me except gesture typing or swipe typing, I can't get that working in the stock keyboard, I made sure it was enabled in the settings and checked everything I could but I can't get it working, does anyone else have this issue?
Thank you, very much. This ROM works fine on my device, but the battery performance is not the best.
That's most likely Google Apps related. Check your battery stats in settings to find out the draw

I flashed today's nightly with 64bit gapps and (cause I couldn't remember if I ever changed there anything, I flashed the vendor image of the 5.1.1 stock rom)
For me everything is working fine

I'm on an old Unofficial 12.1 build from late June, will I be able to just do a lazy dirty flash to the new official 12.1? Anyone have any luck with that?
I did a dirty flash from 01. May cm12 build to todays cm12.1 build and hadn't problems :good:
