Im on XXLQ2 at the moment, how should i flash XXLRQ? Just a full wipe in CWR and then flash XXLRQ?

If you willing to do full wipe, that would be the best method.
Otherwise just wipe cache/dalvik...if something goes wrong (FCs), full wipe.
Can someone please give me some good reason here why I should flash the new LRQ version compared to this most stable and usable v4? Thanks in advance.

Tried to install the new version (06.09.12) and faced strange issue: the installation process finishes successfully, buyt after reboot system hangs on string Samsung Galaxy Note N7000.
Waited about 10 mins - no progress. Then installed good old v3 of this ROM and all went well. BTW, when I installed the latest version, the installation wizard did not appear - installation progressed on the screen and finished with message about successful completion. Before installing any ROM version I install Abyss kernel 4.2, reboot into recovery mode of this kernel and then run installation.
What is wrong? Why the installation of the latest version hangs and why wizard did not appear? Your help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

I think that you forgot to do the required WIPES before and after the ROM installation.
I've been there before and that fixes the boot hang at the Sammy logo.

Actually I did. And I even didn't get to teh stage of Samsung logo, it was just a text string Samsung N7000 that appears at the very first boot stage.

there's nothing wrong with the installation.. just that the new version is not come with aroma installer like v3 or v4 (the version i used) compared to this LRQ version.. and yes it's look alike the installation hang in the middle.. but it is not... just what until it finished...
as for my two cents.. just stick to the one that works with you ... v3 or v4 in my opinion is more enhanced than the current version...
btw... if got stuck next time... just get back into recovery mode... vol up + home + start button... then just install abyss.. followed by factory reset.. then flash back the new / old rom ... reboot... there you go... good luck!
