Hi, did this ROM go official after all? I can see there are some newer builds on the official LineageOS page, are they related to this one? Which one would you recommend.? Strangely enough this one works right away, while I was unable to boot the official ROM (sticks on the logo for a while then boots into recovery).
Thanks for the great work!

No this ROM didn't go official. Someone else (Isaac Chen according to https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/wayne) build the official ROM for this device. I don't think this one just go official.

For example, for the official one, I believe it is build from source
https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_xiaomi_wayne
https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_xiaomi_sdm660

While for this unofficial build, the link in OP is dead, but it should more or less be based on
https://github.com/xiaomi-sdm660/android_device_xiaomi_wayne
https://github.com/xiaomi-sdm660/android_kernel_xiaomi_sdm660

Looking at their commits, it is independent of each other.

On the other hand, it looks to me this unofficial one is abandoned (unless new evidence points the other way). I see no threads here on XDA for the official one. So it is important for us to test the official one and see how good it is, and then if it is possible to migrate from unofficial to official.

I still cannot make the official run though. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Should I be using the lineage recovery to flash it? Is that important? I am using TWRP. The unofficial boots without an issue, while the official gets stuck on the lineage logo for a while then reboots to recovery. Did anybody else have the same issue?

Is it possible to update to this rom instead of reflashing from scratch?
edit: (I didn't notice the previous post, I didn't know I could get an OTA with this ROM).

The same happens to me, now I can't use the latest TWRP version. Now the only TWRP version working for me is 3.0.0.0 or the TWRP for A10 ROMs. What is your TWRP version?

When you flashed official, did you wipe the system partition or just flashed the ROM? The first post in the thread says that the recommended ROM Firmware Required is V11.0.6.0.PDCCNXM. I don't see such recommendation for this LOS unnofficial build, and that's probably why this one is working fine.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Your warranty is now void. I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions

    1. Download ROM, TWRP recovery, GApps (if you want)
    2. Flash TWRP Recovery via fastboot (fastboot flash recovery pathTo/recovery.img)
    3. Boot into Recovery
    4. Format System, Data and wipe Dalvik, Cache from recovery.
    5. Flash ROM zip.
    6. Flash GApps zip
    7. Reboot.

    (Optional)
6.2 Root: Download Magisk & flash Magisk zip via Recovery

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
